Chinese-speaking people who are interested in learning about and investing in Cardano but have limited resources and language skills.

<u>Impact</u>

• For Cardano, this project will help expand its global reach to one of the biggest population groups in the world. It is highly valuable for Cardano's prestige and lays a solid foundation for its future expansion

• This project will provide access to high-quality information and education for the aforementioned audience

• This project will also offer a healthy community for the audience to share knowledge, ask relevant questions and give feedback

<u>Solution:</u>

- Provide high+quality information and education by producing video content that is published on Youtube and bilibili.com (Chinese domestic platform), plus community posts, articles and other forms of educational content

-Maintain the current community by building a strong Discord/Telegram presence

-Empower community members to be unofficial Cardano ambassadors and spokespersons by educating and communicating with those who have the capabilities and the willingness

This will address the challenge by education, community building, local community growth and member empowerment.

The outcomes can be showcased and communicated by showing

• the number of new members who joined the community (Discord, Youtube and Telegram communities)
• the number of Youtube/bilibili subscribers

<u>Risks that are beyond proposer's control:</u>

- Market: potential bear market and its low sentiment will decrease people's interest in learning and engaging

- Political: if China enforces a crypto ban and starts arresting crypto holders (unlikely but still a risk), this will be highly damaging

<u>Challenge that can be addressed/prepared for:</u>

- Financial: not getting funded to work on this project.

Solution: I will still continue my work but to ensure work quality, I will have to reduce the scope of the work

To be honest, this is a straightforward project and has been delivered before, I've also been continuously working on this since last year. I do not foresee other challenges or risks apart from what is listed above

Since this is a continuation of an existing project, the action plan for the future three months will be identical:

Month 1:

- continue current work of video production 6-8 videos a month, each 5-10minutes long on both Youtube (international viewer) and bilibili.com (domestic Chinese viewer).

- continue the work of other content production such as community posts, blogs, and messages.

- engage with the viewers and community members, provide guidance for those who want a deeper level of knowledge about Cardano.

Month 2:

Before you read the budget, please read the below explanations:

<u>- Why are the hourly prices different, even though they are done by the same person (the proposer)?</u>

Tasks such as conducting research and turning the research into video scripts require a high level of cross-domain expertise and skills, including English/Chinese translation/interpretation, Cardano-specific knowledge, additionally, text and content writing skills to make the content engaging and easily understandable. Such tasks are valued higher than for example, commenting and responding to community posts.

<u>- Why are the rates higher than normal Chinese salary?</u>

For a few reasons

* I do not live in China, I live in the UK which has a significantly higher cost of living

* The price of paying for the group of people with the required cross-domain knowledge (Chinese-English skills, Cardano knowledge, video production skills, community management experience, etc), plus a proven track record of high-level delivery quality, will add up to a very high price level.

But since it is being done by one person (the proposer), the community will be paying for a very good deal.

* It boils down to the value created vs price quoted, and if the community thinks the value (educating and onboarding Chinese-speakers around the globe) is worth the price.

Video editing (post production, art and visual material, text copies, SEO, staging, uploading): 21videos*4.5hr/video*$42.5/hr= $4,016

Research, translation, synthesis, scripts for high-quality content: 21videos*4.5hr/video*$46.5/hr = $4,394

- They are around a 20-25% increase from existing numbers

Why 20-25%?

- I believe they are reasonable goals for the next three months, considering the following factors:

*The market sentiment is low

*China's ban has reduced people's desire to be involved in crypto

*I am still operating this whole project alone, and my ability to scale up is limited

Will you consider hiring people and scaling this up?

- Yes, I have been considering it. However this will require a higher level of funding, and I need to set aside time to interview/onboard help, currently have no bandwidth for it, so for this round, I am continuing the work as-is.
