osNFTs for science popularization
<p>Scientific knowledge is often locked behind paywalls, in spite of it being mostly funded by the public. Science should be more accessible.</p>
PanDAO: Focus on interoperability
OpenScienceNFT Marketplace
Evidence-Based Knowledge Aggregator
PanDAO Focus on Treasury Management
PanDAO: Focus on dDataStorage
OpenScience Marketplace Scale-up
PubWeave: An academic ecosystem
PubWeave: Academic Publishing
Solution: A full-stack peer-review academic ecosystem where funding is secured by a treasury optimized for long-term sustainability. A democratized open publishing platform can make scholarly publishing thrive.
Unified End-to-End Marketplace Transaction Library
Solution: We have built a Haskell library and a corresponding testing module as well as an API (in Python) and a React GUI frontend available at cardanoops.intellart.ca that can be integrated to any project.

Last month we dived deeper into the inner workings of the initial phase of PubWeave – its blog part – after finishing designing the different sections of the website. The skeleton of the project has been built and we are have been exploring options for text editors that support latex that have started getting implemented.
As for the backend work that was the focus of last month, progress has also been good, new routes have been added for PubWeave and DB tables have been adapted as well.
As this project is the biggest we have undertaken in terms of scale, we made sure to be extra careful in planning future development and breaking it down in phases. Phase 1 will consist in a little less of 3 months and will focus primarily on expanding the backend of our previous project, Veritheum, and building out the 'blog' part of PubWeave.
Work has mostly been focused on working on testing our plutus scripts and debugging issues with the cardano-serialization-lib. We ended up settling on pycardano and will continue working on our testing scripts for plutus smart contracts.
The past month has seen mostly under-the-hood developments in terms of blockchain integration and testnet smart-contract testing. We have also made good progress on wallet integration into the website. For more details see 'issues and blockages section' above.
Cardano wallet integration into the backend has been a success! We are working out the kinks with the communications between backend and frontend and are look at integrating more wallets.
NFT minting through the OpenScienceNFT marketplace interface is in its final stages.
Similar to most of the Cardano community, we have had trouble running a testnet on nodes 1.35.2 or 1.35.3. Now that the testnet issue seems to have been resolved for the most part, we can continue testing.
MVP deployment complete, Cardano blockchain integration in the works.
MVP deployment complete, working out some final details.
Our collaboration with the Plutus expert mentioned during the previous report is progressing smoothly. We have had some slight issues running tests with the PAB on the testnet post-Vasil, and are currently waiting for the updated node version 1.35.2 for Vasil compatibility.
NFT minting through the OpenScienceNFT marketplace interface is getting finalized.
In the process of deployment!
We are currently working on a buy/sell Plutus script for subsequent integration with the system of sustainable NFT minting. A Haskell expert is helping us develop it as can be seen from the correspondance in the attachment submitted. Note that the name of the correspondant and the company is striked out at the moment for privacy reasons.
Integration with project: OpenScienceNFT Marketplace ongoing and deployment is being worked on and should be done in a few days.
