With the ccv4 election upon us, we paused for a minute and threw put the onchain into an accessible dashboard for the community at https://www.lidonation.com/en/project-catalyst/votes/ccv4

Rewrite is going great. We decided to use vuejs for the snappy frontend. We're just about done with the migration to singlestore db to give us millisecond respond times on even the complex query. We will be put it together over the next week here.

Huge progress was made this month with building the metadata to support quiz questions and answers, plus Cardano blockchain integration to support reward distribution for correct quizzes. In fact we LAUNCHED a prototype of this functionality, under the "Every Epoch" brand. Visitors to Lido Nation can take a quiz or participate in blockchain in some way every epoch, and earn rewards. (Currently, in English) The heavy lifting on this build is the foundation of this project! Progress is now underway on Swahili translation. By January reporting, we will have half of the quizzes translated, plus a Gero Wallet onboarding video in swahili (Translation is complete and Audio is recorded - up next is video editing)

I attended the Summit in Lausanne and wrote an article about the Catalyst breakout session later that month. This project is about writing articles about Catalyst - and even while we are in a pause, there is plenty to write about! Lots of great progress over the last month. Large, we have ExchangeService that will use price feeds to let clients specify their wares in USD, ADA, or EURO and receive payments in ADA or HOSKY with automatic exchange rate conversion.

We spent the rest of the time getting a basic reference implementation in pure html/css/js and php.

Next step now is the complete the reference implementation, test coverage, then move on to building the wordpress plugin to consume this repository.

We are about halfway through the re basing to a new software stack.

We've looked at a range of server and client frameworks and toolkits best suited for our long term feature roadmap. We also (re) auditated the current data backend stack.

We've decided to keep much of the software backed in as is, with the current php/laravel stack.

We will be moving the frontend and public facing interfaces to Vuejs.

We will also be swapping our our redis+postgresql+meilisearch for a single data storage solution with support for both OLAP and OLTP (singlestore.com).

Phew, ready to break ground and start writing code next week. By our next update we're on track to have the lidonation's proposals page powered by the new stack.

Since our last report, we've written a total of 11 articles (10 finished, 1 in Team Edit phase) for this 12-article project––10 have been published. The 'evidence' section in the attached project spreadsheet provides links for those published so far, and the Final Draft of the 11th article, preparing for release on Monday, Nov. 28th, 2022.

With the upcoming publication of our last article slated for mid-December publication, and currently in draft form, we are on track for publishing all 12 early, by mid-December 2022 even as our official scheduled end date is December 26, 2022.

This is our first monthly report, having recently receive the first disbursement. First project tasks have involved setting the project roadmap and milestones, with due dates and assignments set. We have entered these milestones in our project tracking system so that we can coordinate among roles and easily report on our progress each month. We have also secured the services of Swahili translators and marketing/training leads in Africa, whose important work will make this project possible; their contracts have been negotiated and sent; and we expect signed copies back this week.

The primary deliverable is articles about Project Catalyst published at LidoNation.com – another month, another article delivered. We published a two part series about Project Catalyst Projects in Africa most recently. The secondary deliverable is Twitter space hosting; this primarily takes place via the Cardano Over Coffee space, which is held 5 days a week, with Lido Nation co-hosting an average of 4 spaces per week. Recordings of all spaces are available for a limited time (according to Twitter rules) on the @CoCspace account

Now that Ethereum have migrated to proof of stake, we've been writing an article to walk people through proof of stake on both ethereum and Cardano. Piece should hopefully be published over the next couple of weeks.

Since the last report we onboarded a new developer and moved the project to a new github repo. With the new dev and refactoring we should start seeing signification progress on a weekly basis. I'm confident we should be able deliver a minimum lovable product by end of January.

The other deliverable for this project was hosting Twitter Spaces that would cover Project Catalyst guests and topics. These take place M-F on the Cardano Over Coffee Twitter Space which @LidoNation co-hosts.

Still haven't attacked the landing page yet. I think when we have 6 or so articles that, that will be enough articles to start a story. Digging a lot into Ethereum proof of stake so we can capitalize on that .

Did not have any opportunity to work on this all month, with voting, 24hr governance, and catalyst explorer improvements. I was able to add a new dev to the lab in kenya who will be able to help after onboarding is complete.

With voting over and the new dev coming onboard, we should be able to still deliver the project on time.

The deliverables of this project were to deliver 12 articles about Project Catalyst, published on LidoNation.com. We have set a project timeline for publishing all the articles between June project launch and December project completion. We are on track to our timeline, with 7 articles published by end of September! All 7 articles, along with additional content relating to Project Catalyst that is not directly part of this project, can be viewed at LidoNation.com. We've published our second article https://www.lidonation.com/en/posts/ce-wallets-on-cardano-and-ethereum and have a pretty good idea of what the landing page will look like. Two articles are currently being developed and drafted.

Didn't make too much progress this month. Still on track, the testnet/vasil incident has set me back a little bit; need to respin up my testnet infrastructure.

Since our last report, we've published a total of articles, two more are slated for publishing before the end of July. One of those is in editing, and the other is near completion.

This puts us one article ahead of our goal of having 4 published by end of August for this project.

Making great progress on the base PHP lib. I suspect by the next report, we should be able to facilitate a basic payment flow with ADA. Then we will turn our attention to the WordPress plugin.

Still thinking through the ui/ux of the landing page and how the content will come together. Continuing to write content… the next article in the series is attached. Article is still be edited and not published yet.

Got a good idea of the current landscape of ada payments in the woocommerce/wordpress (limited and not user friendly) and laravel (non-existant) ecosystem. Got a plan and roadmap for my first deliverable. Next up, get coding!

Has gotten the ball rolling on the first three articles. Finding the lidonation equivalent in the ethereum space has been challenging. Since I'm trying to address non-technical crowd, I figure seeing how ethereum is being taught to non-technical crowds in that space would be a good north star for addressing the same cohort on how cardano works. I was able to find a couple of resources that is proving useful. I should have two these three articles ready to publish to lido nation by next project report. We've also made good progress on the ui/ux of the landing page for when we have a few articles published.

The first goal on our Roadmap was to secure a writer. Our writer has joined the team, as was reported last month.

Our second step on our Roadmap is to have the first articles published within the first 3-month period, and we are on track to reach this milestone. We are nearly completing the 1st article (scheduled publication - late June). Work commences on the 2nd of the first 3 articles (scheduled publication - early July), with the outline and first draft near completion. The second interview of two interviews is set for 6-22, the 1st conducted in early June, for our 3rd article (of 12) (scheduled publication - late July).

Two more articles are on track to be published in August, which will have us ahead of schedule.

In the proposal, it is mentioned that a suitable writer will be found to execute the 12 investigative journalistic articles (to be written and published at ~2 per month till the end of 2022). The update is that the writer has been selected, and I (said writer) am authoring this update, and will continue to be the contact @ Lido for all further updates on this project.
