Reached out to catering companies for quotes on prices. Food prices are around 3/4 of estimated. Will be reaching out to higher quality / priced vendors to determine if it is worth purchasing higher quality food as the budget allows, or putting it into other items such as mugs, t-shirts not mentioned in the proposal. Additionally scouted locations for different locations. Computer rooms are $100 p/h and lecture halls are $100 p/h. i.e. no difference to estimations. Workshop events will be the most expensive with an estimated $1000 for just the events material cost i.e. without speaker and photographers etc. This a combination of all event types will average the cost out to be within budget.

Attended a university student expo and networked with 2 of their clubs. Game Development Club and Coding club. Have drafted proposal and messed each waiting response. Similar to previous update. Will need to wait until university semester begins before events can go ahead.

Facing problem with scheduling events. Have found that most Universities schedule events for a semester a semester before, therefore the only slots available are for next semester, starting Feb 22. Have scheduled meetings with societies during their planning period for events next semester. Have gone to social events to network with executives of each society to pitch idea. Will be going to an expo for one of the universities about game development to gauge interest about cardano game development, which will be one of the workshops.

Have sourced and confirmed two speakers with another potential in the works. Reached out to an additional University Society. Problem I am facing is currently it is the University Break and responses are slow. Additional interest in Crypto is low due to Bear market. Still a lot of individuals interested, so am planning to launch a pilot session online for different University students to join. After the break and pilot will attempt to connect with Uni's for face to face events. Preliminary discussions have been done regarding topics for lectures and workshops. Including Cardano 101 PoS vs PoW and Cardano NFT Game Intergration Workshop

Have received feedback from some universities and a lesson learnt was to create more marketing material and resources for them to look at to understand what this project is about. Using this feedback I have commissioned a website and created and linked more surveys to be used by possible attendees (might be creating a online event as some people that have expressed interest are not from the target universities) and also speakers (few have reached out to ask to speak). Still at the stage of getting the word out there, visiting and networking at university events and waiting for responses from speakers and universities.

Have reached out to universities gauging interest and advice on how to structure and collaborate with each uni. Marketing have created first iteration of posters. Planning on event structure has also begun.

Although have not secured the funds yet, have started engaging university computing / IT societies gauging interest and feedback on how to create an engaging program that will provide value to university students.
