Detailed Plan

The plan is to build low-cost photo-bioreactors (PBR's) and distribute them in different regions of the country/continent/world to decentralize the production of Spirulina and distribute it locally in it's raw, living format. This way people from all around will have access to a quality of Spirulina that is currently not available to the masses.

PBR's operators (cultivators) will be payed in ADA so Cardano gets more adoption while we provide jobs, education and Raw <u>Living</u> Spirulina to people at the same time**,** bringing creative and novel solutions to combat the pandemic caused by Covid-19 and <u>malnutrition</u>.

The thesis is that providing the population anti-oxidants and inmune strengthening nutrition such as Spirulina we can eradicate once for all the fear of the pandemic. This is because the spike protein of the sars-cov2, for example, doesn't bind to cells if there aren't free radicals in the atoms of our cells. The pandemic is a tale of cellular oxidation and malnutrition.

The outbreak of the coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 has created huge trepidation worldwide. Boosting immunity has been a simple way to resist viral infection and limit fatalities. In this context, the use of nutraceuticals appears to be a potential panacea. The ability of algae-based nutraceuticals, mainly Spirulina, to boost immunity against viral diseases has already been reported clinically. Spirulina-based nutraceuticals boost the adaptive and innate immunity, and bioactive compounds, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor peptides, phycobiliproteins, sulfated polysaccharides, and calcium-Spirulan, can serve as antiviral agents. The presence of these molecules indicates its potential role in resisting infection and COVID-19 disease progression.

In Spiralway we produce <u>superior</u> LED cultivated spirulina which it is vastly more medicinal than the dried, stinky, dead-powder one can usually find in the market. LED's can be set to send specific wavelenghts that stimulates some phycobiliproteins in Spirulina which are strong anti-oxidants, anti-virals.
Even better, we offer spirulina in it's raw, living format in a refillable, returnable packaging.

The only problem with this is that spirulina in living format doesn't stay alive much longer after harvested, only 4 days, this is why we have the current dried format and why we need to decentralize spirulina production with PBR's so that each community can locally produce its medicine through PBR operators, local delivery and Cardano, of course.

Ideas:

Integrate with Coti Pay so that customers can buy Spirulina and PBR operators get their salaries.

Dapp creation to add cultivation data to the Cardano blockchain such as: LED light frequency, intensity, voltage, current, power consumption, temperature, pH, biosmass, and more.

Singularity Net integration to make science: Using Singularity Net decentralized network we can input the cultivation parameters through sensors and use the data to come up with a model to optimize the cultivation while monetizing the algorithm, In this way people from all around the world can propose an algorithm in the marketplace, monetize it, and the world will learn how to cultivate spirulina in the most efficient and sustainable way while also stimulating the best medicinal properties such as chlorophyll content, biliproteins, lipids, fatty acids and C-phycocyanin: A powerful blue anti-oxidant, anti-tumoral and **anti-**viral which we can extract make delicious blue spiru medicinal icecreams .

Currently, we use ESP32 chips as the brain of the PBR's, the ESP32 controls the time in which the LED panels are on and off, receive temperature and Ph signals and sends information it to a Raspberry Pi through a MQTT protocol. The RPI works as broker meaning we can control the PBR's remotely. So one idea is for a dApp to suscribe to the MQTT broker transforming that data into a Plutus smart contract and bring the on-chain data into the Singularity Net to come up with AI optimization.

For this decentralized spirulina production model to work we also need to make use of renewable energy to power up the production modules, it makes sense to add wind and/or a Photovoltaic (PV) system to power up the PBR's and add the power generation/consumption data to the on-chain through Plutus for further machine learning analysis and optimization.

Budget:

30k to buy photo-voltaic system, build FBR's, add electronics, cooling system, air water extraction machine, container, assembly costs and shipping.

10k for FBR operators

10k for d-app devs.

Wonder about a proof-of-food concept.

Since this project started in San Pedro de Atacama in 2020 we already have a product, a brand, website, clients and a working PBR so everything that's next has to do with integrating the PBR's with Cardano blockchain and scale production in a decentralized fashion. It is possible to make tests of a Spirulina-Cardano controlled production module in the Atacama desert, a place known to resemble Marsbut has a lot more solar energy.
