Broadcasting Cardano Network In Northern Ghana In Collaboration With The Cardano Ghana Community.

Please describe your proposed solution.

BACKGROUND:

We realized that most people/individuals in Northern Ghana consider cryptocurrency as well as cardano blockchain as a scam in which they do not want to involve themselves into. because of that, we want to educate, innovate and empower them about the importance of cardano network and its use-cases through interviews on two TV and two radio stations in Northern Ghana. This project will engage the listeners of radios and those watching TVs which will enable anyone know into details about cardano network which broadens and expand the cardano ecosystem.

The Broadcasting cardano network in Northern Ghana in collaboration with the cardano Ghana community seeks to organize a series of conferences to be hosted at two(2) TV and two(2) radio stations in Northern Ghana where everyone can have access to it**,** to introduce and promote the ideals of Project Catalyst. These project seek to educate the individuals on the ideas of blockchain technology and develop their skills in blockchain entrepreneurship and empower them with the catalyst funding opportunity for them to create solutions and leverage catalysts to solve problems in their communities.

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY:

The project will be a one day event to be hosted for two(2) hours at each of the targeted four(4) TV and radio stations, on the topics; Introduction to Cryptocurrency, Blockchain technology, and Cardano Blockchain & Project Catalyst.

THE CRYPTOCURRENCY SESSION:

This will be done by an interview with the radio presenter in charge of the station at the stipulated time to introduce individuals to the cryptocurrency and blockchain revolution since most of them will be newbies to the cryptocurrency space. This will provide an insight into the fundamentals of digital currencies, the impact of the satoshi community and what potentials and resources are available in blockchain technology. The session will also educate participants on the evolution of money; from barter to bitcoin. Participants will also learn how to download, install and set up Yoroi wallets; mobile and web wallets, and then be trained on sending and receiving ADA, staking ADA and trading ADA with other tokens and currencies on exchange platforms.

BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY SESSION:

This session will educate listeners on the blockchain revolution, and the history of the bitcoin whitepaper by the anonymous Satoshi Nakamoto group. Listeners will get the opportunity to learn other use cases of blockchain such as smart contracts, metaverse, supply chain, operations,web3 among others. Listeners will learn about the Cardano blockchain and how they can build innovative solutions on it as well as benefit from the existing solutions on the Cardano blockchain.

CARDANO BLOCKCHAIN & PROJECT CATALYST SESSION:

This session will introduce listeners to project catalyst to explain its purpose, opportunities and resources available for them to leverage. The session will cover catalyst challenges, Proposal Assessment, Challenge Team, cardano Ideascale account creation, proposal submission, governance, execution and reporting of proposals to the catalyst community. What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

I am a student entrepreneur and have the passion of skills development, education and organizing meetups and events. I am also a final year student from the university for development studies(UDS) Nyankpala campus studying Bsc Agriculture technology(AGT), I have good relationship with students, student leaderships and most of the management in the university. I am an alumnus of the university for development studies who studied diploma in Agriculture technology.

I also have strong knowledge about cardano blockchain, cryptocurrency and project catalyst and have attended over 15 meetups which talks about cardano blockchain. I am strong and conversant to manage project funds both in fiat (USD), (GHS) and in cryptocurrency(ADA). It is good to convert some of the funds to stablecoin(USDT) to avoid depletion of project funds due to cryptocurrency volatility. This will ensure an optimum use of resources for the success of the project. Below are some pictures of cardano events I have attended across Ghana.

ROLE OF THE CARDANO GHANA COMMUNITY

The cardano Ghana community will help sharing the project and interview pictures and videos into their social media platforms which will help leverage or create awareness of the community and newbies about the importance of the cardano network as well as its use-cases.

The will also help monitor the success of each event.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

Answer:

There cannot be a project without resources. The cost items indicated in the aforementioned budget represent the cost for the entire project period, and I will highlight on key items below;

 • Payment for interviews: Before interview is made, payment will be done the same day of booking date and time.
 1. Printing of t-shirts, banners and flyers: T-shirts & banners, especially Cardano brand t-shirts and banners make events attractive and the public to the community. It will inspire and help market the Cardano ecosystem better with such promotional materials.
 1. Airdrops and incentives: airdrops and incentives are provided to inspire and motivate viewers and listeners and the team respectively for their time, efforts and active involvement in making Cardano grow. This is to ensure everyone gets rewarded in the Cardano ecosystem which is one aim of Cardano; making the world work for everyone.
 • Transportation: The project also requires travelling around the Region to the target radio TV stations for interviews. There will also be meal expenses to support project implementation.
 • Media and photography: The project will hire a camera and video service to cover interviews which will help us in producing proof of achievement for the IOG and the entire Cardano community for transparency and tracking of success records.

The budget is stated in ADA and not in USD and hence leaves uncertainties for everyone in the community as the fall in the price of ADA could affect funding and vice versa. Hence, it is prudent to leverage Cardano's DJED or Tether's USDT or other stable coins to preserve funds and prevent the depletion of project funds. Again, local expenses are incurred in local fiat (Ghanaian Cedis), which are affected by inflation and hence, there is the need to be economically sound in purchases to ensure expenses are covered without any difficulties. It is important to also have a convenient savings account to keep exchange withdrawals for covering project expenses.

I am sure and strongly believe that, the budget will see an optimum use to serve the purpose of the project to achieve the KPIs and deliver successfully without any shortages or loss of funds.
