Shlomo Cohen is a Caricature artist, he has already a lot of experience in drawing and creating art.
Nevertheless, we fill that the awareness about climate issues and the trash in the oceans is not really impactful enough. Through this project, we want to try to incentivize people to understand more the subject and the impact pollution has.
Shlomo Cohen already wrote a book called “Sharkids”, Here is the link of the annex of the book :
I invite you to read that in order to get an overview of what the book is. The book is really interesting since through the story, you grow some awareness about pollution and how our oceans are getting dirtier.
Shlomo wants to create an impact in people’s minds through his Graphic Novel bring some awareness.
This Graphic Novel will be poster on Book.io and will be shared through different media for the people to be able to read it.
The benefits that we get from this book would go to NGOs that focus on cleaning the oceans, this is very important for us and we believe that we can really have an impact.
[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?
For this project, we will use book.io, that uses NMKR as an NFT platform. By doing this project, we will support NMKR and show that there can be different tools to use NMKR. In this case, we can do NFT Books, which can be really interesting and be impactful for a different public.
Moreover, we can show that we can make an impact on climate thanks to NFTs.
[IMPACT] How do you intend to measure the success of your project?
The success of the project will be measured by the number of readers we have to our graphic novel as well as the feedback we get from it.
[IMPACT] Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?
The graphic novel will be available on Book.io and all the benefits we get from it will go to NGOs that are related to water cleansing.
We will also share the written version for the people that are interested

Shlomo is a really great artist that is also really interested in the Blockchain world. He actually got 2 proposals funded in fund 8 about his art.
Benjamin is a young student that has already participated in fund 8 and 9, he is really learning a lot about Blockchain and studies International Business, so has basic knowledge in all business related areas.
[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?
The main goal for this project is to create awareness, to make people understand, through art, that the situation we have here is really negative, and if all of us give at least a slight effort, we are sure that the impact will be great in the end. So we just want to motivate people through art and Blockchain.

It will take around 6 months to write the graphic novel
During this time, Benjamin will start doing some marketing and advertising as well as some R&D for some NGO’s.
Further Marketing and advertising will be done when the book is published, this implies :
- Talking about it on Catalyst Townhalls
- Informing the community on several telegram groups
- Collaborate with C4C ?
The project Should last around 7 -8 months according to how much time the novel takes to be written.

The main deliverable will be the Graphic Novel posted on Book.io
We will also share all the info about the number of readers, how much NGO’s we have contacted, how much money we gathered for them. This info will be shared on the Monthly report

Shlomo Cohen, an amazing caricature artist that has a lot of experience and has already participated in 2 proposals for fund 8. These were proposals about creating caricatures to educate people and make them laugh. For example there was a proposal about making caricatures of Charles Hoskinson !

He is a great artist and he is also really interested in the Blockchain world.
Benjamin Ben Zvi, a young 19 y/o international business student studying in Grenoble Ecole de Management in France.
He has helped Shlomo in his Caricature projects for fund 8.
Moreover, I already got 3 funded proposals on fund 9 related to the education of the students about Blockchain. One is already closed and I am working to close the other two.

[RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?
This project might really create an impact as well as promote art thanks to Blockchain. We think that contacting an NGO will also incentivize them to start getting interested into Blockchain and to use it as a tool to improve their projects.
Moreover, we would be using some tools to promote NFTs and NMKR which for us is a really important aspect of the Cardano Ecosystem.
