[IMPACT]

Snapbrillia was born six months ago with the mission to accelerate the world's transition to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce and guarantee fair opportunities for all through the adoption of AI and blockchain technologies globally. Earlier in February after deep research and much deliberation, we decided to work with the Cardano network to deploy an open-source quadratic voting and funding platform to foster a community of open-source projects, contributors, and entrepreneurs.

Open source is a public good. Quadratic funding optimizes matching funds by prioritizing open-source projects based on the number of people who contributed and voted. This way, funds meant to benefit the public go towards projects that really benefit a broad public ensuring future efforts benefit from the work that is funded today like open-source tools, instead of things that only have a few wealthy backers.

Our solution is an open-sourced quadratic voting and funding platform that aims to support open-source fundraising campaigns and increase collaborative contributions where open-source projects and entrepreneurs will be able to fund match or raise funds in multiple currencies in a decentralized marketplace with security, transparency, and a streamlined user experience.

Examples of traditional crowdfunding:

Project 1 gets $100 from 1 funder.

Project 2 gets $100 from 10 funders.

At the end of the round, both projects get $100 in matching.

Examples of quadratic funding:

Project 1 gets $100 from 1 funder.

Project 2 gets $100 from 10 funders.

At the end of the round, Project 1 gets $10 in matching, Project 2 gets $190 in matching. [1]

Quadratic funding strongly encourages people to make contributions, no matter how small and ensures a democratic allocation of funds meant to benefit the public. [2] This is especially relevant now with the introduction of the dReps (delegation representatives) voting system here on Catalyst where voting is going to be centralized from tens of thousands of voters to 150 representative delegates. [3] When voting power is consolidated into a few individuals instead of democratizing voting for public goods like open-source tools and projects, it doesn't always advance the public good and it weakens democracy. [4] We want to drive higher enthusiasm for the Cardano ecosystem, community, and open-source projects overall because both the funding sources and voting power will become more decentralized. This enforces different individuals and communities to align between different open source community efforts to produce the most public good instead of consolidating funding and voting power to themselves.

There is a massive opportunity for the Cardano open-source and dev community to grow and scale because engineering hiring and job hunting suck not just for Web3 but across tech globally. The hiring environment is extremely competitive with 1,847,900 open software engineering jobs in the US alone [5] when the US provides only 47,906 CS graduates each year. There is also a huge gap in gender diversity (21.7%) and ethnic diversity (15.5%) among computer science graduates. [6] At the same time, over 25 million people have quit their jobs in the last 6 months and as many as 375 million people will quit their jobs between now and 2030 hoping to break into better careers globally. [7]

Quadratic voting and funding together with Snapbrillia Mentor-mentee Bounties & eLearning will empower people to collaborate and share their knowledge to build a sustainable open-source ecosystem in and out of Cardano. [8] Maximizing the impact of public goods available on Cardano and decentralizing the funding sources for public goods provides one of the final pieces required for the Cardano network to become a self-sustaining system - Voltaire. To foster sustained collaboration between open source experts and new collaborators we need to build an Open-Source On-Chain Practical Resume on ATALA Prism through our partnership with RootsID SSI Wallet to provide proof of reputation that helps people build and showcase their work history, credentials, projects, and contributions because it's our basic human right to control our money, data, and identity including our career.

Snapbrillia provides an alternative for emerging open-source contributors to quickly get hands-on experience through a mentor-mentee eLearning marketplace of open-source bounties, open-source workshops, and open-source hackathons. For seasoned developers and entrepreneurs, Snapbrillia provides a way to democratically grow support and funding for their projects and quickly attract experts to collaborate and share their knowledge and work. Our user research and startup journey have led us to the blockchain, Cardano, and the infinite possibilities that this platform and technology can provide to streamline and minimize bias in funding and hiring to guarantee more fair opportunities for all through open-source and blockchain. We are excited to share more about it with you.

Entrepreneurs and developers from all over the world will be able to register their projects for a quadratic funding campaign to compete for open-source grants and funds. We want to create a rewarding incentive system for open-source projects and accelerate the development of common tools, frameworks, core infrastructures, and proof of concepts that are created and owned by the community for the community.

This will allow users and projects without technical knowledge related to blockchain technologies, to launch their funding campaigns and fund them and this platform will facilitate everything directly on Cardano.

Together with our Decentralized eLearning and No-code-setup Collaborative Cloud IDE (with support of 60 coding languages and frameworks including Haskell, Plutus, and Marlowe) [8], this also allows new contributors to effectively join open-source projects and build their Practical On-Chain Resume. Our combined platform accelerates the open web in and out of the Cardano network by tapping into the network effect in the broader open-source community. [9] [10] [11]

Global crowdfunding exploded from $8.61 billion in 2020 to $113.52 billion last year – a 1,021% increase with an average of $1,315 per investor. [12] 76% of investors believe it is important to fund Women and Minority entrepreneurs. Investment crowdfunding has proven itself as a scalable way to do that. [13]

If we can execute well to build this quadratic funding platform, the Cardano open-source community will immensely benefit from the crowdfunding's massive growth to become a $239.78 billion industry by 2026 with an 18.97% year-over-year growth rate. [14] Better access to opportunities, funding, and learning bring developers and entrepreneurs together to co-create.

Take Gitcoin as an example of why quadratic voting and funding build trust between individuals, bigger projects, and major donors within and outside of ETH and the open-source ecosystem. GitCoin was able to drive $58,275,259 funding to open source projects with major donors matching individuals' funding of their passion open source project. [15] [16] We can do better especially with the Catalyst community and our Fortune 1000 partners, perhaps becoming the first major fund matching donors on this platform. The sheer hiring demand and the average hiring costs of $28,548.00 to $35,684.00 for developers with real (open source) work experience by bigger projects and companies creates a perfect storm for a platform like this. [17] We believe that with our Fortune 1000 relationships, API access to a network of 840 million professionals, and Cardano's Gitcoin, we can drive this huge appetite of major projects and companies to join this quadratic funding matching community to fund more and also bigger open-source teams. 🔥

Please make sure to also check out the links and attachments to see the evidence of the benefits quadratic voting and funding platforms like GitCoin have on the open-source community in and outside of the Ethereum network in 2021 alone. We need the same and better for the Cardano network. [18]

We need resources including time, money, and additional helping hands and expertise in Plutus, Marlowe, and Prism to be able to execute this project effectively. To make this possible, Snapbrillia will have to further expand its No-code-setup Collaborative Cloud IDE that supports over 60 languages and frameworks including Haskel to also include Plutus and Marlowe.

Furthermore, we will have to create the DeFi marketplace on the blockchain for bounties and grants (smart contract and governance) and the decentralized eLearning user experience between mentors and mentees.

The proposal aims to build an open-sourced quadratic funding platform for open-source projects that let people be able to impact the funding’s level, therefore it will encourages people (individuals or in teams) to make contributions; provide On-Chain Practical Resume and Credentials service for Decentralized Identity and Decentralized Networking ; and build a Decentralized eLearning platform, which will support the Cardano dev ecosystem adoption with the No-code-setup Collaborative Cloud IDE , according to the another proposal of the team “Mentor-mentee Bounties & eLearning” https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/397419

In my opinion, the proposal is a great idea and extremely addresses the objective laid out in the challenge because if it is implemented successfully, it will accelerate collaboration between people who want to share their knowledge to turn Cardano into a sustainable open-source ecosystem. For that reason, we can see the project fits very well with the challenge’s key metrics: increase the number and the quality of Cardano Open Source projects; increase the number of contributors and increase of open source tools and frameworks from the community for the community. As the reading, we can see the team’s energy and enthusiasm for the project as well as the Cardano ecosystem through the well written proposal with the pdf files and links included.

After studying the proposal in detail, I think, this is a very promising and practical project which creates open source quadratic voting and funding platform in multiple currencies on Cardano blockchain. It will bring great effects on entrepreneurs and developers from all over the world as it benefits a broad public, helps new users without technical knowledge and allows new contributors to effectively join open-source projects. However, to be successful, this project requires a great amount of resources such as time, money and expertised team to be able to executive this project effectively in the long term.

I strongly agree that this proposal will have a huge impact on the Cardano ecosystem. The proposal plans to bring Gitcoin to Cardano, first part of which is Quadratic voting and it is explained well by proposer in the comments section that they are rewriting the implementation from EVM to Cardano (Haskell, plutus, Marlowe). As a senior developer myself, I have used plenty of open source projects both in my personal and professional career. We in the Cardano ecosystem have limited budgets for a variety of challenge areas, out of which (at least at present and until a few years from now) the open source development ecosystem is one of the most important ones.

We are in high need for a self-sustaining ecosystem where developers/engineers/tech enthusiasts can come over and build. One of the big problems right now is that many good open source projects just are not well maintained because of no good work to reward ratio, an example is that recently an author of well known JS libraries (color/faker.js) decided to push intentionally corrupt code as he was not happy with Fortune 500 companies using his libraries but never receiving any reward for the work that he is done. Clearly, I am not supporting such behavior, but in essence it is frustrating for many good developers who spend countless hours providing free solutions to the problems that most of the engineering teams eventually face.

This proposal, if funded, will bring in the quadratic voting system (which was initially proposed by Vitalik in Ethereum space) to Cardano, making this system a self-sustaining system where contributors can be rewarded in a transparent and decentralized manner.

The proposal describes how quadratic funding works in a well articulated manner, with all the public links in place. It also provides links supporting the claims that the demand of engineers is very high but often challenging to find and hire them. In a more remote working friendly world, we really need the ability to remove any location dependencies and bring in the engineers together across the globe. This proposal's successful implementation perfectly aligns with multiple guiding questions of challenge settings, e.g. sustainable ecosystem while engineers can share knowledge and efforts, reusable engineering solutions, and a transparent reward scheme will definitely drive experts to collaborate and share their knowledge.

Therefore full points from my side to the impact of this proposal.

The proposal meets the challenge at a basic and essential level. With an open-source quadratic voting and funding platform, matching funds prioritize open-source projects based on the amount of people who vote, rather than a few voters with greater funds. Quadratic voting directly incentivizes increasing the number of contributors to Cardano open source projects, and thereby the number of open source tools and frameworks and users/contributors of Cardano.

This is an extremely ambitious project, has a large scale, and requires a huge amount of resources to build the project. I highly appreciate their core idea, I see a great similarity of the proposal with the KPIs of the challenge are "increase the number and the quality of Cardano Open Source projects & increase the number of contributors" and development potential of the project after success. Their project is to build an open-sourced quadratic voting and funding platform that aims to support open-source fundraising campaigns and increase collaborative contributions where open-source projects and entrepreneurs will be able to raise funds in multiple currencies in a decentralized marketplace. The proposal is presented very logically, they present the core features, the mode of operation of the platform, and provide case studies with a high reference value. The proposal includes highly anticipated features that will make a positive impact on the Cardano ecosystem. The information provided is extremely detailed, the required items in the proposal are listed in full. The biggest challenge of this project is the resources to develop it including personnel, time, and money, they have not developed a plan to completely solve this challenge, but the team's capacity has been reflected clearly from the way they present and analyze their solution that I have full confidence that they can overcome this risk and have the ability to run the project.

This proposal accurately addresses the challenge, the challenge being the need for more open source funding. "…We need other major donors in & out of Cardano to accelerate open-source funding and support." The solution given properly addresses many of the issues that the challenge would have "We need resources including time, money, and additional helping hands and expertise in Plutus, Marlowe, and Prism to be able to execute this project effectively. To make this possible, Snapbrillia will have to further expand its No-code-setup Collaborative Cloud IDE that supports over 60 languages and frameworks including Haskel to also include Plutus and Marlowe."

The proposal clearly describes the impact on the challenge. The team needs major sponsors to support open source. To grow, build trust and build the future of open source Cardano. The group has researched and proposed many specific and detailed analytical solutions. The proposed team also had some solutions for the risks they would face while implementing the project. Create lasting trust in the proposal.

I love the idea of bringing GitCoint to the cardano ecosystem, because the impact would be amazing. As a developer I can positively assure voters that there's a huge difference between profecionals that have already done something, and another competitor that just has an idea and starts to work toward it's implementation. Both have pros and cons ofcourse, but specifiacally for the cardano ecosystem which is moving steady and safe the big organization is the way to go. Because of reasons beyond skills and manpower, but collaboration and better project time management. The proposal will definitely have an impact over the ecosystem and over the future of the funded proposals, so the proposers did a great job pitching their worth articulating how they could add value to the ecosystem. Another thing that makes me be confident in their ability is the openness for colaboration and experience with such type of funding. I don't see anything missing from this proposal so I'd recommend you giving it a look if you have the time to read it.The only question left to ask is where do I sign up to help with contributions and they have discord and telegram channels for that. Good work on the proposal and I hope you get voted in!

To understand this proposal's solution statement, it is really important to understand how its inspiration, GitCoin, works. The Quadratic Voting Funding element has to do with how donations to a crowdsourced funding platform are "assembled" into actual funds for projects. For example, typically funds are "matched" in these protocols…individual donors are matched with large grant donations (perhaps Catalyst in this example) based on community "voting". If a community provides 100 donations of a $1 for a given project, this is considered "weightier" than if a single donation of $100 was received. The end result would be that the "weightier" projects are apportioned a larger share of the matching funds, increasing their value, in theory, quadratically to perceived value. So to start with we can understand this proposal as a crowdfunding DeFi platform with a "Quadratic Voting Funding" protocol that we can assume will curate the most valuable projects in the eyes of the voting community. From there, the proposal is a bit of a dog's breakfast: DIDs and eLearning are noted as critical infrastructure, but it is unclear what role they play. In addition it is clear that a DAO will be critical to implementation, though it is implied that this step will come later. As the DAO establishes the governance of whatever token or DIDs underlies the funding mechanism for the crowdsourcing it perhaps should be rolled out much earlier. The team did address some of these concerns, and noted that the DID rollout is part of another Fund8 proposal and that they are a key element in preventing Sybil attacks on the Quadratic voting mechanism. This is a key anticipatory insight, as Sybil attacks are an ongoing bounty within the GitCoin model, which does not have DID infrastructure.

Given experience and plan presented is likely that this proposal will be implemented successfully?

Certainly the proposal has a good team because of the perfect presented and described about what their areas of expertise are, as well as their previous experiences, detail of projects they have already done, how long they have been in the areas with evidence provided. We also see photos and information about each of members involved through their linkedin profiles, where we can contact them to know them better. I just be missing the team’s pictures which is provided with a link: the link lead me to a notice “internal server error”. Even though the goals are set quite big, the proposers make us believe the project will be implemented successfully as they mentioned: they have dedicated product, design, growth teams, the support from a committed team and list of partnerships in the development; with the description of the solution which is very reliable clearly and lists of evidence included. About the financial amount, I think it is split quite fair and understandable as we can see how the money asked would be use. As my comparison about budgets between two proposals of the team, it’s clearly to understand this project has bigger amount of cloud hosting ($10K) than the “Mentor-mentee Bounties & eLearning” project ($5K) because we have more platforms which need to be built in this project. Thing I missed here is the Cardano Gas-fees here is $24K, which is less than that fees in there ($27K). Why so? This is just a bonus question. The plan is set with two parts and being given in a direct and succint way what is being done in each of parts. They also explained the challenges and risks that they have to solve in future and described in details resources (people, money, time) they need to excute the project successfully. The well-prepared plan and the description budget give us a vision of the project as a whole. Therefore, I give the feasibility with a score of 5.

It is undoubtedly that the team behind this proposal is highly qualified and we can easily check their background of each core member on Linkedin. Also, this Snapbrillia project is born six months ago and can be seen on different social networks which makes me believe that they are very confident about their project. Also, they give a very clear KPIs. However, I'm worried that for milestones of Q1 and Q2 of 2022, the proposer gives a quite big jobs in quite short time.

The proposal outlines the team details behind the company Snapbrillia in a detailed fashion. As an Architect/Senior Developer myself I am very confident with the multi dimensional expertise of the proposal team. The links and technical skills of the team are public and I can confirm that they own the experience that would be needed to fulfill this proposal implementation. Other than having technical and leadership expertise, the company also has good dedicated product management, marketing and branding teams. This is very important to fulfill the long term vision of this proposal, as mentioned in the KPI section. The proposal has clearly laid out the risks associated with implementation of this proposal but given the strong foundations of the team I am very positive that they will keep those risks in mind during the entire implementation phases.

Budget allocation not only clearly mentions why they need 5 web2 and 4 web 3 developers, as they have to hire additional senior developers, but also have done their homework on Cardano gas fee calculations (based on the GitCoin historical data from Ethereum - can be seen in comments on how they reached the gas fee number on Cardano). From my own experience as Senior developer in both Asia and Europe, the developer rates are justified. The timelines are clearly articulated in Q1 and Q2, as explained well by the proposer the testnet for quadratic voting is planned by Q1 on testnet, and mainnet in Q2. The CEO of the proposal team himself has experience from the tech giants such as Google, FB, Amazon and it is clearly visible in the streamlined proposal details.

One thing although could have been included, if the team thinks that additional funding might be required, and if so then what are their plans to achieve that additional funding ? Usually such proposals tend to be complex and may require more manpower if an unforeseen set of problems pop up during the implementation phase. Nevertheless, given the qualification of the team and experience I am in full agreement that this proposal has a very high probability of being successfully implemented. Hence, I strongly agree.

The good thing is that the team has built a plan with full phases, activities in each phase and goals to be completed, they have also given a specific time to complete the Quadratic voting system in Q1 of 2022. They already have a team of staff with knowledge, skills, and experience working in the project area they are pursuing. The biographies of each member are also summarized and presented briefly, easy to understand, they also provide Linkedin, a website that introduces their team members, which increases credibility in the eyes of readers. They also made an effort to analyze and present quite detailed information on the use of the budget, including information about working positions, the number of employees in each position, work time, salary paid to employees, expenses fees for system building support activities, I think the budget allocation is quite reasonable and it would be better if they can split the budget by hourly rate so that it can be compared with other projects, for example, how many hours will a Web2 developer work in total in 4 months and what is the cost per hour.

Gitcoin has proven the viability of the quadratic voting model. The proposal is initially a take on Gitcoin's open source implementation, with further tweaking if desired. The CEO expressed in the comments a belief in the project enough to implement parts of it regardless of funding, due to it's worth as a project.

The company behind the proposal has a team of ~31, including web3 engineers and architects. The proposal calls for $112,000.00, mainly for 9 more developers for the project at market rate, and then also for transaction fees on the Cardano network and hosting. The team is also seeking collaboration with other existing projects. The milestones are achievable with such a team (milestones are mentioned next).

I believe this proposal will be implemented successfully, the plan in place offers the idea of a platform that covers a broad spectrum of contributions, entrepreneurs and contributors. "Our solution is an open-sourced quadratic voting and funding platform that aims to support open-source fundraising campaigns and increase collaborative contributions where open-source projects and entrepreneurs will be able to fund match or raise funds in multiple currencies in a decentralized marketplace with security, transparency, and a streamlined user experience." Furthermore this proposer has a solidly structured team "Frank Albanese…James Willingham…Beatrice Thelisma…Ninh Tran…Kenric Nelson, Ph.D….Nori Nishigaya…" Each of these members have a role and years of experience within their respective roles.

Overlooking the clarity of execution, this is a team that is ideally suited to straddle the ideas presented here. On the one hand Kenric is a great choice for managing the margins of this endeavor wheer the DID and Quadratic methods reside and keeping it on track, while Ninh is a perfect fit for the networking, positive collaboration component, as evidenced by his onboarding of contributors almost faster than they could volunteer. The only risk going forward from that perspective is keeping all the different innovations in their lane and working toward a common purpose. The funding budget is substantial, but is very heavily weighted to the development side with 8 core members assigned to the stack. There does seem to be an oversight for the line item labeled "Cardano Gas-fees Budget: $24,000.00". Firstly, gas is terminology typically related to Ethereum, not Cardano. Secondly, devoting an entire quarter of a 100k budget to fees might be reasonable for Ethereum, but on Cardano, such outlays aren't necessary. It is, in fact, one of the main reasons to develop on Cardano. This feels like a line item for an imported proposal from Ethereum, and it should be excised from this proposal, making this proposal far more competitive. To the degree that all the suggested deliverables are on the roadmap: Quadratic Voting system, DeFi crowdfunding platform, eLearning integration with Snapbrillia, reputation system with DIDs, and a governance DAO, this project will definitely be a heavy lift, but the team is expansive, and expanding. They indicate that a major part of their project will begin with collaboration and bringing in solutions that are already complete or underway (the DID is an especially low-hanging fruit here, given what is developing elsewhere in Funds 7 and 8), and they were quite noticeable in reaching out to collaborators throughout the proposal process, so there is definitely a possibility for success here.

More than enough links and skills are provided for me to have absolutely no doubt the proposers came to do business, which is reflected in the budget they're asking for as well. One thing I have as a suggestion is to have a better breakdown of the budget specifically for the gas fees. While 24 000$ is the normal kind of budget for bitcoin and ethereum, I'd argue that it's too much for cardano, where the gas fees are considerably smaller. I do appreciate they have made some calculation based on their previous growth, but I didn't find that calculation anywhere in the provided resources. Having said that all other aspects of the proposal are up to par with the best of them. There's a realistic and reasonable timetable to complete all the work specified in the proposal as well as funding to do it. The technical aspects are more then well explained and described unlike many other proposals which gives them credibility in my eyes. More of the explanation focuses not only on what will be done, but how as well. There's a plethora of technologies already supported and they're proposing to add marlowe and plutus as well, which is great, because the cardano ecosystem will be able to take advantage of what's already implemented in their platform. There's a clear explanation of the problem and the solution offered by this team. The project is in sync with what's already being done and are open for collaboration with similar project so no double work is done if not necessary. Good work and I think this proposal is more than feasible and will probably get made if the proposal is voted in.

The proposers describe very clear what the success looks like and what the KPIs would be. As my reading, they give KPIs in general right above the detailed budget breakdown section and KPI in details right below the SDG subgoals, which allow us to see in the perfect way what the project’s result would be expected and the ambitions of the team. We find easy to track on the project with three products which would be provided by the team thanks to the clear description of the success: the platforms and the On-Chain Practical Resume and Credentials which will be released on Github.

The proposal's explicit KPI's are based around the number of funded open source projects, of users with on-chain resume and credentials, and amount of money raised for open source projects. These can easily be verified. They have short term milestones of first developing a quadratic voting system, then deploying it for open source projects, and deploying payments in fiat and crypto, and on-chain resume building. These steps are verifiable and attainable with the team.

The roadmap and milestones per quarter are split well in terms of what functionalities the community can expect. Furthermore, these milestones are then mapped to how they will fulfill the progress and success of the project. The Quadratic voting and funding will be open source on GitHub so everyone will be able to measure the progress and development of the project. Moreover, the success of the project will be based on whether the project fulfilled the vision of a transparent and secure quadratic funding platform. This, however, is also linked with the On-chain practical resume and credential service for Decentralized identity solution tied together with Decentralized e-Learning platform, which is another proposal proposed by the same team.

More often than not, such complex projects require parallel development to fulfill the overall vision of the team. This proposal is exactly that and the outlined KPIs/success metrics are very detailed so in my opinion, the community will have no issues in tracking the progress of this proposal. Last but not the least, the proposer has done a very good job at explaining the goals in the SDG section. These goals are a direct result of an attempt to fix existing issues such as huge pay gaps, gender inequalities, hindrance in innovation.

With Cardano, for the first time in human history, we have an infrastructure on top of which one can build such platforms that could provide equal opportunity to everyone across the globe, and bringing Quadratic voting to Cardano is one of the most important steps to achieve that vision. Therefore, I strongly agree that this proposal is very well auditable.

Good thing after all, since the proposer was attentive to providing ways for the community to access information about the project's progress, they promised progress updates via Discord and Github. However, I would like to know more about how often they will update project progress information. The KPIs are given describing the main activities and the success of the proposal if invested, however, I did not find any specific indicators such as the number of subscribers and the usage of the platform. Furthermore, I would love to see them provide more information on a roadmap and milestones to accomplish all the required tasks mentioned.

With the information provided by the proposal I believe It is permissible to audit. The metrics of success are given in a clear and concise manner "objective KPIs to measure its success

the project has been separated into stages to make it feasible

all quadratic funding will be completely transparent and publically available on our website

Quadratic Voting and Funding will be open-source on Github where everyone can clearly see and measure the progress and development of the project.

On-Chain Practical Resume will be open-source on Github where everyone can clearly see and measure the progress and development of the project." While also maintaining a clear view of what success in the eyes of the proposer looks like "The success of this project is very clear:

to provide a secure and transparent quadratic funding platform for open-source projects that allows all individuals to directly impact the level of funding and support an open-source project receives in and out of Cardano

to provide On-Chain Practical Resume service for Decentralized Identity and Decentralized Networking and give everyone their human right to control of their money, data, and identity including their career history.

to provide a Decentralized eLearning platform where mentors and mentees build and deliver the future of the open web and foster the next generations of contributors

Snapbrillia’s long-term goal is to build a platform that gets one million people into tech via open-source that otherwise wouldn’t break into tech at all."

The milestones, as listed, are all considered open source, and are to committed to Github as they come up, however, the timeline provided in the proposal is very broad, listing a single task for the first 3 months "Quadratic voting system". If collaboration is going to be as large of a commitment as is indicated here, then it would be nice to see what they hope to onboard during that initial timeline. It doesn't have to be specific solutions, but something is filling up that first quarter, and some idea of what was occurring would be helpful. It would probably help the proposal team to actually outline what all the steps of creating a Quadratic voting system would be: how much time for research, how much time to capture what exists and establish cross-pollination and collaboration…what exactly has been delivered when that first phase has been completed? The second phase, which includes the DeFi rollout and the DAO over the next quarter is laid out a bit clearer, and is where the bulk of the work lies. At that point I expect the project to come into its own, both in terms of feasibility and auditability, as that should leverage the developer heavy team and take advantage of whatever collaboration they have lined up. This one feels like a slow-starting, hot-finish type of project that has a truly ambitious goal, but may have trouble getting multiple projects into alignment to pull it off.

I do appreciate the telegram and discord and the information provided on their site, but I really would like to look directly at the development of the code. The only place where github was mentioned was for QuadraticVoting and funding, as well as "Practical Resume and Credentials" which sounds like we the developers won't be able to look at the actual implementation of the platform. This is not necessary a bad thing, but it does make me wander if this project wouldn't find a better match in the Developer Ecosystem challenge, but that's not to say it wouldn't be a fit here in the open-source developer ecosystem as well. Other than that I think the project will be auditable for anyone willing to follow along with the regulated channels of communication and not look at the actual code of the platform. The roadmap with milestones are well segregated and entirely doable and I really appreciate the effor the team made of doing this proposal like a business plan more than a simple proposal for funding and it shows proffecionalism! Overall a more than feasible proposal. Good luck team!
