Detailed Plan
Purpose of Proposal: WADA will host a second proposal workshop (follow-up to WADA Catalyst Conference 2021) in order to encourage and inspire people throughout Africa and the Diaspora to submit their projects to Project Catalyst for funding.
After a successful funding campaign in Fund 4 we are looking to continue with another proposer outreach event Spring 2022.
----------IMPACT———–
How does the proposal fit into this challenge?
This event will be geared towards educating and engaging local communities to get involved in Project Catalyst as Proposers, Voters, and Community Advisors.
How will this campaign add value to our ecosystem?
- This virtual event will also be hosted in-person at three of our WADA hub locations. This event we will look to host in different local WADA hub locations to continue expanding our outreach (Cameroon, Nigeria, and Senegal).
- Events will be made accessible via translation services in English and French as well as Portuguese, Spanish, and other languages based on initial sign-up interest and questionnaire feedback.
----------FEASIBILITY—––
Past Successes:
- In August WADA completed a widely successful virtual and in-person Proposer Outreach event, significantly increasing our visibility as the go-to for mentoring and onboarding new developers and entrepreneurs from Africa and the Diaspora. <https://twitter.com/jaycidiq/status/1432106218923888640>
