Please describe your proposed solution.
Cardano ERP for Catalyst will be an open-source Cardano-native accounting/auditing system. A native Cardano system will allow for easy and transparent integrated auditing, tracking, and reporting of funded projects. The project stakeholders will be the Catalyst Fund audit committee, Cardano Community, and Catalyst Fund recipients.
We will scope the unique needs of stakeholders, then architect and deliver an MVP which meets scoped needs.
The core modules are expected to include:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable (COTI Pay integration)
- Funds/Revenue receipts
- Financial/Audit Reporting
As a result of this work, we expect to provide a Cardano-native system that meets the requirements of the intended stakeholders.
Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.
Cardano ERP for Catalyst will provide the accounting and auditing system framework for funded projects. This will in turn promote adoption and improve product ownership. It will address the need to get accountants and lawyers into the Cardano & Catalyst Ecosystem and provide direct access to solutions which provide financial and legal services as well as support and guidance to emerging projects in the Catalyst Ecosystem.
Cardano ERP for Catalyst will be infinitely scalable and able to be used anywhere in the world.
What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?
The main risk which could prevent delivering the project successfully would be a shortage of funding to complete the project. We anticipate an MVP can be delivered for ~2,000 hrs of effort. However, we cannot predict all requirements to be requested by all stakeholders in a final product. To mitigate this risk, the proposal is for delivery of an MVP, not a final product. We will submit additional proposals for any additional effort required for a final product.
