[IMPACT]

We know for the fact that India as a country is so diverse with many languages and cultures. So adoption of new technology happens much slower than expected. To approach this problem more strategically, we propose to conduct weekly meetups in Chennai-Tamil Nadu, Bengaluru-Karnataka, Hyderabad-Telangana. The strategy here is to conduct meetups in these Prime Metro Cities because these are the major tech hubs in India and has a diverse migrant crowd from other parts of India.

We can improve the involvement in 4 phases-

  • Increase the participation- There are very few blockchain community meetups being organized by individuals without any set agenda and people who participate are mostly traders who want to see the trends. Using this to leverage and run campaigns in tech companies and educational institutes, we can increase the number of participants.

  • Retain the participation- Everyone attending these meetups will be redirected to the Cardano India Tribe in Konmahood for ease of communication and to build the Cardano Indian community organically.

  • Awareness about Cardano - When we do not understand something, we think it’s a grand scheme to get us involved and milk us later. Even the traders do not have the awareness of what blockchain technology is and how Cardano functions as a DAO. We include this phase in the plan to break the stereotype.

  • Active participation- Once phase 3 is completed, we will start building awareness on Project Catalyst and ways in which one can get involved.

Main Features –

We are focusing on 4 main features –

  1. Weekly meetups in Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad
  2. Virtual Platform for events – KonmaVerse
  3. Communication Platform – Cardano India tribe in Konmahood
  4. Community managers

Components –

“Social Works” is a space that blends the best of the office and the café. Combining work and play, it's an urban hangout designed to take you offline while still keeping you connected. Social is a collaborative workspace, a hub for artists and innovators.

Konmaverse- is a virtual platform of Konma Org where we will be building a specific space for participants to meet virtually post the physical meetups. This allows the participants to build relationships in a safe environment.

Konmahood- is a Social media platform built by Konma Org for the community to engage, involve and collaborate. The categorization is done with the help of a Tribe concept. Hence creating a Cardano India tribe will help largely in collaboration.

At Konma, we already have community managers who are ready to help us with the challenge of organizing these events.

Impact statement –

This project will help us create impact in 2 ways,

As we create awareness about Project Catalyst and show them the ways in which they could involve and incentivize, the ecosystem will face more participants as proposers, community advisers, voters, etc from the Indian subcontinent.

Cardano Indian community will grow gradually and could be a strong community as we see the potential in these locations due to a large number of tech enthusiasts and startups.

After two years of pandemic and meeting people virtually, these events can be a fresh comeback to the real world and meeting people. The success of this event would be to see an actively participating community from India in the Cardano ecosystem and Project Catalyst and take up various roles as CAs, proposers and voters.

This is a new proposal.
