Reasons for approaching it in the way that we have?

It’s simple. We will be the first project that offers PoP (Proof of participation) and it could he very very helpful for anyother kind of projects.

The name will be “MITHR PoP”, and this PoP scheme in Cardano differs from traditional POAP schemes in several aspects. It allows for the grouping of multiple proofs or data points into a single MITHR PoP, making it a more powerful and relevant form of proof. It also incentivizes participation in a decentralized network like Cardano.

Explanation about this Project:

CREATE MITHR_Pop:

Proof of Participation: Every time a tree is planted, for example, a MITHR mobile app will indicate the GPS location where the work is being done. A photo of the planted tree will be taken and marked with coordinates, date, and timestamp, which will then be stamped on the blockchain, creating a MITHR_POP (proof of participation) accessible through the participant’s wallet.

In addition to obtaining an immutable proof of participation, participants will also receive a certificate with different levels of rarity that can be used to access exclusive content or participate in community events.

It serves to allow event organizers to issue digital certificates to attendees in order to:

When a photo is captured using the MITHR app, the image is stored in the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). Is MITHR a nonprofit organization?

What are nature-based solutions?

‘Nature-based solutions’ is a technical term that simply describes an action that results in avoiding deforestation or improving a carbon sink through reforestation or ecosystem restoration. According to analysis by the World Economic Forum and McKinsey, nature-based solutions are a cost-effective means to achieve up to one-third of the emissions reduction needed by 2030 as part of the net-zero transition to achieve a 2-degree trajectory. Additionally, investment in nature-based solutions, when done well, can accrue collateral benefits that help address other societal challenges while being good for business, people, and nature. However, when done poorly, the investment can do more harm than good.

How does MITHR ensure the permanence and additionality of its project portfolio?

Additionality and permanence are key to ensuring that we are truly making an impact (not just doing something that would have happened anyway) and that the impact we have is long-lasting. To ensure additionality, we collaborate with thousands of volunteers from different ecosystems in various countries, along with corporate partners and local planting partners, from tree ordering to tree planting and beyond, to ensure a continuous process that creates new carbon sinks that otherwise would not have been planted. To ensure permanence, MITHR collects on-the-ground monitoring to ensure the trees remain in the ground. Part of the funding for tree planting goes towards protection (against animal and human intervention), and remote sensing (e.g., satellite imagery) is gradually incorporated to monitor the long-term forest growth, which is currently being done for countries like Africa, who are currently working with us remotely (e.g., GOMA Stake Pool on Cardano).

To answer this, it seems appropriate to provide a brief timeline to understand how the concept has evolved from its creation in the mid-20th century to the present in the early twenty-something years of the 21st century. Specialists in the field, like Bernardo Kliksberg, tell us that there have been three distinguishable stages in the past 50 years.1

a) The selfish company: This was the predominant stage in the West in past decades, mainly in the 20th century. Companies focused on maximizing profits in the shortest possible time, disregarding their role towards society. Companies were accountable only to their shareholders.

b) The philanthropic company: In this stage, some donations were made to specific areas, and companies were accountable to their shareholders and actors involved in the production chain.

c) The Present-day Company: Companies are accountable to the general public, governments, individuals operating on social media networks. In short, the paradigm has shifted from previous perspectives. Therefore, we believe that a new stage must be added to these previous three, which is the result of modernization in human life brought about by the emergence of blockchain technology.

d) Blockchain technology: Corporate Social Responsibility in the capitalist social ethics of the 21st century.

In this fourth stage, we consider Corporate Social Responsibility to be of utmost importance in all existing projects and ecosystems and those that emerge. If companies included this as a motto in their White Papers and official websites, one could distinguish between projects like Terra Luna and excellent projects like Cardano. As the project progresses, they would be obligated to comply with guidelines and rules for social assistance, rather than solely pursuing indiscriminate profit without being accountable to the crypto society, as well as to various public and private organizations requesting such accountability.

Therefore, in this fourth stage, companies involved in blockchain technology and decentralized finance (DeFi) must possess the following basic qualities:

1. Personnel policies that respect employees’ rights and promote their economic personal development.
2. Transparency in their assets and a corporate or decentralized voting governance if it aligns with their initial constitution.
3. Clear rules for token investors.
4. Environmental care and protection, as well as for the various actors involved in the process.

a) Furthermore, since 2008, when the first mined Bitcoin began circulating, we can see that changes are always structural, even if actors from different parts of the system only see the tile they are standing on. Thus, we can say that cryptocurrencies (such as fungible or non-fungible tokens) come hand in hand with a shift in the capitalist system and, consequently, the rules of the business world. New ethical rules are emerging, a form of inclusive capitalism as we defined it in point d) in the timeline we created for CSR.

However, we are not the only ones who have noticed this. In 2011, Mohamed El-Erian, the former president of the leading investment fund called PIMCO, stated in The New York Times, “The capitalist system has to move towards inclusive capitalism, create more jobs, and reduce excessive inequalities… You cannot have a good house in a rapidly deteriorating neighborhood. The credibility and fair functioning of the neighborhood matter greatly. Without that, the integrity of the capitalist system will weaken even more.” It is so true, coming from someone who knew how to do business. That is why, in this new phase of the capitalist system, CSR cannot be absent from the roadmap of different crypto projects.

From the perspective of Token Mithrandir, as a company involved in blockchain technology, we consider this part of corporate responsibility indispensable in the financial sector. We are committed to investors who trust in our project, as well as to the rest of society, who may not even be familiar with Token Mithrandir. The Advancement of CSR in Decentralized Finance Projects:

There are cases in Ethereum where projects provide digital assets from their ecosystem as compensation for unemployed individuals, as well as projects in Cardano that involve implementing internet access in remote areas, constructing houses, and even environmental and species conservation efforts like gorillas and dogs. This write-up does not aim to describe all existing projects but only to mention these examples to show that Token Mithrandir is just one project among hundreds with the same philosophy stated in their White Papers. The MITHR token IS ALREADY TRADED ON THE “STOCK MARKET”, for the moment on the DEX of MINSWAP and MUESLISWAP. Therefore, where MITHR tokens purchased through the AMM platform can be traded, or through raffles, contests, DONATIONS; etc. Having our tokens allows us to pay our volunteers with our tokens that are already having a real utility in the business world of exchange of goods and services. We have already developed concrete cases and we continue to work in three countries; Argentina, Congo, and Venezuela. And we are working in these other countries that during this year we will do other actions of environmental and social impact such as; Colombia, Chile, Sierra Leone, Mexico, Bolivia and Peru. TO CARRY OUT THESE ACTIONS OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT WE DO IT IN THE FOLLOWING WAY? BUT FIRST LET’S LOOK AT THE SCIENTIFIC RATIONALE FOR WHY WE DO IT:

The amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) that can be sequestered and the amount of oxygen that is produced through afforestation depend on several factors, including the type of trees planted, the number of trees and the soil conditions. In order to obtain data on CO2 levels and the amount of oxygen produced by different species of trees so that the data can be entered into the blockchain on a reforestation basis, we will follow some general guidelines:

1. CO2 sequestration capacity: Trees absorb CO2 from the atmosphere during photosynthesis and store carbon in the form of biomass. The amount of CO2 that can be sequestered varies according to tree species, tree age and growing conditions. In general, fast-growing trees tend to sequester more CO2 during their active growth phase. Some species known for their carbon sequestration capacity include eucalyptus, pine and oak.
2. Oxygen production: During photosynthesis, trees release oxygen to the environment as a by-product. Approximately, it is estimated that a mature tree can produce between 100 and 250 kg of oxygen per year, but this varies depending on the species and environmental conditions.

As the carbon sequestration process is complex and subject to change over time, young trees tend to sequester more CO2 compared to mature trees, since their growth rate is higher. Once trees reach maturity, their ability to sequester CO2 decreases, so to obtain more accurate estimates for a specific location or tree species, we will consult specialized sources, and scientific studies by forestry and environmental experts. These sources can provide more updated and specific data for each particular case.

¿When will the trees be planted, and where will we plant them?

We work with a number of tree planting organizations located in different regions of the planet, where we are forging bodies of volunteers. Each planting site has different planting windows depending on the species being planted, the seasonality of the region, the size of the project and the capacity of the planting community, as well as the money available to our project for each planting plan. Tree planting began in November 2022 and continues to this day. Since we are privately financed, our planning never stopped in its social impact and environmental impact projects, We never stopped for lack of money for these actions, but we could make more environmental and therefore social impact if we had more funds available for these actions. On the other hand, more and more organizations are joining us from all over the world, for example, we saw Taiwan, Congo, Sierra Leone, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Chile.

TO CARRY OUT THESE SOCIAL IMPACT ACTIONS WE DO IT IN THE FOLLOWING WAY?

At this point we have work already planned and currently underway in countries such as Sierra Leone, Congo, Colombia and Mexico. In all cases, an effective way to raise funds was the creation of NFTs, with practical utility. Our NFTs reflect in a macro way, the different areas where the plantations were designed to be forested, and in other cases the actions of social impact, when they are creations of NFTs, to raise funds for Foundations that work with different social problems, ranging from malnutrition, diseases, or improve community or recreational spaces for children. Let’s see some of these works that we have been developing.

It is important to note that these values are only general estimates and may vary depending on multiple factors. Tree age, climate, soil quality and other environmental factors can influence the amount of CO2 captured and oxygen produced.

SUCCESS OF THE PROJECT

Our success is getting users, professionals, ONGs, Companies, and other health stakeholders to use MITHR Platform: Cardano+MITHR, incorporating ADA/MITHR TOKEN and/or Djed to their transactions, and using the Cardano Smart Contract in pursuit of better planet care and positive economic impact.

Take an active role in integrating the MITHR Platform and Afforestation with the Cardano blockchain with the MIHTR POP feature.

Seeking expansion through translation from Spanish to English, French and Portuguese, with the aim of being one opening the opportunity of planet care to a billion people.

Steps to follow

Assign a MITHR’s Product Owner / Scrum Master: Daniel Web3 Rodriguez

He’s the designated Product Owner/Scrum Master, we will start working, in collaboration with their team, to conduct a technical survey on the specific needs that the project has to solve. From there, our team will work on an iterative process of the project specifications.

The estimated timeframe is 6 to 8 weeks.

Deliverable

The Discovery deliverable is a document that includes:

1.1 Technical Evaluation

a. Software architecture analysis: We will review the current architecture of the platform, identifying how the different components and modules are structured.

b. Qualitative Code Review: We will review the source code qualitatively looking for quality problems, such as duplicated code, complex and non-scalable logic, misuse of libraries, etc.

c. Infrastructure Evaluation: We will evaluate the infrastructure on which the platform runs, including server performance, scalability, load handling capacity, redundancy, among others.

d. Development and Deployment Process Analysis: Review of development processes and practices, including development methodology, version control, testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment.

1.1.2. User Evaluation and Quality Assurance (QA) Testing.

a. User Interface (UI) Evaluation: We will check the usability, consistency and aesthetics of the user interface. In addition, we will check if it adheres to UI best practices and standards.

b. Functional Testing: Verify if all functions and features of the platform work as expected.

c. Compatibility Testing: Verify that the platform works correctly on different devices and that it adheres to the best UI practices and standards.

Define token technical details and any special features. Set up development environment and Cardano node. Develop Bash scripts code and Javascript code including libraries, create some logic, policies for token issuance, transfer, and management. Create PreProd test and deploy on mainnet. Implement token on mainnet. Analisys, documentarion, and designing web portal and Mobile app. Making POCs , starting with development and front end pages, and Database design and creation.

November - March 2023:

Start working with webAPI for getting and sending information from Db to front end. Continue developing front end side, and making integration between both worlds. Making some integrations “dApp” with Cardano wallets and making code onchain.

March – June 2024:

After extensive testing for correct functionality, applying changes and imporvements in code, doing some fixes and implementing everyting in mainnet for testing. Continous integrations. Testing, coding, improvements, and go on with the repetitive cycle.

June - October 2024:

Maintain and improve liquidity pools, monitor AMMs and secondary market, and provide regular updates to ensure security, scalability, functionality, and token movement as the ecosystem evolves. Promote token adoption through marketing strategy, emphasizing use cases and benefits to increase visibility and adoption. Develop DApp and integrate it with the MITHR platform to receive the token and enable payment for Volunteers, companies, ONG, and Users.

Expand team

Set up a multidisciplinary R&D team that will function as a think tank to apply ideas in MITHR platform and its link with blockchain, self-sovereign identity, AI (artificial intelligence), metaverse, interoperability, web3, gamification, etc. To create this multidisciplinary team, we will turn to the international Cardano community because we want to count on referents and opinion makers who will be part of this health impact project. [RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

For this Cardano Catalyst Fund 10 in the presented budget, it is highlighted that 75% is allocated to the development area, while the rest of the action areas (education, marketing, translation, and back office) take up the rest of the budget.

This decision to focus the fund on several years of development in different companies was based on Daniel Web3 Rodriguez’s experience as CTO/developer. It was also based on experience gained during the successful completion of other projects from fund3 to fund9 where Daniel Web3 Rodriguez was working.

We learned about the importance of having a team of expert programmers, designers, QA, DevOps, etc. who cover specific areas and who have adequate seniority. We understand that initially 4 to 5 professionals with defined profiles are required to achieve the objectives proposed in Fund 10 in 12 months.

Not only that, but we need a team based on various technologies, such as Mobile, DevOps, full stack and solid professionals in backend and frontend, databases, ReactJS, Node.js, JavaScript, internationalization and localization, blockchain, cardano-cli, bash scripts, etc.

To add to these programmers with experience and interest in blockchain, especially in Cardano ecosystem, we also work as developer onboarding.

The working hours of this varied profile of required professionals are governed by international values and vary according to their functions and seniority between US$35 to US$100 per hour.

By requiring a group of professionals with these characteristics who are between 4 and 5 human resources, we have to create a partnership with OtterLabs or another recruiter company.

Regarding the development and launch of the product, we have the mentorship of Daniel WEb3 Rodriguez, who is currently in charge of the successful Token MITHR (Mithrandir). With whom CitalDoc + Help2Health developed for the closing of Fund 8 the payment of medical fees with ADA and the bash script with metadata for electronic prescriptions, and with whom we worked with Innovatio as well in previous funds.

We have foreseen administrative, general, hosting, and basic human resources expenses (Backend)

Investment in education and marketing, fundamental areas for the onboarding of users who can interact with and join the blockchain world from MITHR, such as DCU from Demeter.run.
