Detailed Plan

Our project is all about creating a center, a point of attraction, so that different projects can subsequently gravitate around it. It is the musical score, the space and time on which the different notes can be arranged to form the creative melody in the great Catalyst symphony.

We have already done a first “Cardano Creatives swarm session”, which allowed us to certify the necessity of this idea. About thirty people participated in this event, which also attracted new people. Our solution aims to broaden the horizons of Catalyst by diversifying the fields of interest and initiatives.

To date, there is a gap between the digital outsiders and the Catalyst experts and regulars. Yet the values of Cardano’s movement aspire to a global change, which will in the futur have an impact on the whole of society. Our project is not only about art and culture, it is a way to open up debates, to integrate and attract new people into the movement, by combining technical skills with philosophical and artistic reflections. This is why we deliberately use the broad term “ Creatives“.

We think that to open the doors of the community to a wider audience, it’s necessary to propose places where the language and topics of discussions are more accessible to all and a little less technical, so that everyone can participate and feel able to identify themselves, without feeling overwhelmed or not qualified enough.

Roadmap

The aim is simply to strengthen elements already present in the community which are deeply represented by the philosophy of Catalyst swarm and orient these elements so that art and culture are officially represented and seen as fundamental to the overall process of reflection.

To do this we started at first by :

• Identify the people interested in this idea and bring them together to create connections and understand their priority needs, which will lead us to define the first colors of this environment.
• Give them a place and time with the “Creatives swarm sessions” to meet, share their works and initiate collaborations.
• Create the telegram group “Cardano creatives” and a discord channel on the Catalyst swarm server “ Art and philosophy“.

In the first 3 weeks :

• We will not be able to do creative swarm session again in December, but we will reflect on experiment with different ways of setting up sessions to make them actively Creative.
• In the next meetings in January, we will try to focus the debates on important issues chosen by the community and see how in an interactive way it is possible to form small groups based on common interest and affinities to create a panel of different answers to the same question.
• Maintain and update the telegram group and the discord channel and experiment in a way to initiate philosophical and artistic discussions and encourage users to share their creations.
• We must also act to include new people in the group and explore solutions to attract people who are unfamiliar with the crypto world.

In a bit over 1 month :

• Continue to set up regular Creatives swarm sessions and test their effectiveness and their potential in the collaborating process.
• Continued to assist newcomers in Catalyst by a collaboration with Catalyst School or any communities within Catalyst that are equipped to assist with onboarding efforts for those new to the Catalyst process.
• Set up a website to expand our network and enable the dissemination of the community’s activities, to bring new dimensions to it.
• Preparation for Fund 8 with the “Cardano creative challenge” and beyond. This would give the community at large the benefit of having future proposers equipped and able to engage with Catalyst.

In almost 3 months :

• Continue the growth of the community and feed proposals into Cardano Creatives ( if this challenge is funded ) to add value to the ecosystem.
• After several swarm sessions, it will be possible to create from the creative community, different small groups of people guided by common interests and skills. Would it be great for exemple to have a group dedicated to the musical universe, another to the production of films and videos, or about writing and philosophy. This will depend on how naturally the community will form. But Whatever the titles, these small groups will be like the cordes, the woodwinds, the percussions, playing their part synchronized with the whole.
• As the Creatives community grows and the number of participants increases, we may consider setting up events such as art workshops, digital exhibitions and perhaps with time also transpose this system into the “real” world.

In 5 and a half months :

We will focus on actions that merge the Creative community with the Catalyst process. It is difficult to predict the various forms that this creative community will take, as we wish to adapt it little by little according to the needs. It is an experiment and means evolving and transforming.

But one thing is sure, our priority is to maintain a respectful, collaborative atmosphere and act as much as possible in a way that makes everyone involved feel supported and included, and keeping as a common thread the Catalyst swarm philosophy.

Relevant experience :

I have a wealth of knowledge in art, both theoretical and practical. My years in architecture and art history have given me a good understanding of the issues in these fields. My creative approach has always been guided by social and philosophical dimensions, which i have put into practice as a psychological and pedagogical consultant and advisor. Moreover, Calix has over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry

Challenges :

• Ensure that our events can attract and satisfy both novices and experienced.
• It may take some time for the community to understand the importance of integrating art and culture as essentials elements for the development of the movement. We will need to sustain this over time and be able to give concrete evidences of this value.
• Just as it will take time to find effective ways to demonstrate the value of Cardano and the need to contribute to the catalyst project to the people outside the digital world.
• We will have to remain inventive in our various swarm session experiments and try to evolve this idea while remaining true to the swarm philosophy.

KPIs & OKRs

The success will be measured :

• By having a cohesive little group : Able to orchestrate, manage and protect this new community and the quality and positive impact of all our initiatives.
• By being known as an official place : for incubation and integration for all the creatives and outsiders in the wish to enter in the community. And established the creatives swarm sessions as a regular meeting place to stimulate initiatives and collaborations, in the way that people can identify, feel confident, supported and in the best conditions to carry out their project.
• By the form of the creative community itself : The progressive and qualitative increase of people joining and our ability to represent this group based on diversity, allowing collaboration between different areas, artists with programmers, project managers, financial and educational experts, philosophers and many other kinds of interdisciplinary collaboration. In the way to be recognised as an added and useful value for all the community and allowing the birth of interdependent sub-groups based on common interests. to initiate events, proposals and concrete projects to further the development of the whole community.

Impact :

This proposal is effectively addressed to the Challenge brief and requirements. By organizing our Events we provide an effective solution to a current problem. Onboard and integrate new people into Catalyst, use the creatives swarm session to build new teams, generate with time workshop to increase collaboration and also propose to bringing people together and creating new and diverse groups to identify with.

Feasibility :

With the support and in collaboration with the Catalyst Swarm we have the possibility to use the Swarms knowledge, experience and resources to drive this proposal to its success.

Auditability :

All progress, achievements as failures will be documented via an monthly report in the Catalyst Town Halls. Achieved milestones will be listed on the Website dedicated project Blog. The event and their progress will be recorded and made available to all, and most of all activities will be updated and available on the telegram and the dedicated channel.
