Mobile Learning Platform & Interactive Courses & Hackathons for Aiken & Python Development

Please describe your proposed solution

We already have working online learning platform (https://danolearn.com) that support coding courses, test & competitions and have been funded in Fund11 for integrating Aiken engine for Aiken code run & test. The project is under good progress and we have released an Aiken course with interactive coding questions, as long as organized certification tests with hundred of developers joined.

This time, we want to make a further step to help to grow the Cardano developer community by creating a mobile version of the platform and publishing new courses, organizing new hackathons with mobile-friendly content.

The mobile app will be available on all Android and iOS phones and tablets to help everyone to access and improve continuously everywhere during busy days with micro learning approach.

New Cardano development courses with Aiken and Python will be published with mobile-friendly, bite-sized lessons for easy access on the go. The interactive coding exercises will also be redesigned for mobile UX and gamification features for better engagement.

New Aiken & Python coding hackathons will also be organized on mobile-based platform

Since mobile devices are most popular now with majority of world Internet traffic, and learning content with micro, bite-sized lessons are proven to have great effectiveness, having a mobile learning app with mobile-friendly contents is a mandatory thing for better user reach out and faster community growth.

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

Our Mobile Learning Platform & Interactive Courses & Hackathons for Aiken & Python Development will boost the Cardano community in many ways:

  • It's an easy way to onboard new developers to Aiken smart contract developer pool from great mobile traffic
  • Helps Cardano developers to learn, practice, improve language proficiency & problem solving skill faster and easier on the go
  • Helps everyone to stay motivated, engaged and get continuously improvement
  • Provides reusable Aiken & Python learning/teaching contents, code snippets… to reuse in many cases

Measuring Success

We'll track key metrics to gauge impact:

  • Number of courses, lessons, problems & hackathons published
  • Number of users, course & hackathon participants, pass rate
  • User activities & feedbacks

All the information and contents will be available on the mobile apps and also published publicly on our learning platform (danolearn.com).

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

We have working platform & process, and also have released an interactive Aiken course already at danolearn.com. And we also have very experienced development team both in Web2, Web3 (danogo.io) and mobile app (nioapp.io) .

The platform was funded in Fund11 and several tests/hackathons have already organized.

We are also developing mobile version of the platform, that is under final development and will be released in a quarter.

Most of the works for this proposal are creating mobile-friendly contents (lessons, quizzes, coding exercises). We have internal developer & content team (10+) that can contribute to this already, and we will be looking for external contributors also to speed up the progress.

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

Milestone 1: Milestone 1: Initial mobile app, first mobile-friendly Aiken course (3 Months)

Milestone outputs:

- Initial working mobile app

- First mobile-friendly Aiken course

Acceptance Criteria:

- Working mobile app, publlished on Google Play Store and Apple Store

- User feedbacks collected and improvements done

Evidence of milestone completion

- Published app on Goole Play Store & Apple Store with real users installs and positive feedbacks

- Public mobile-friendly courses with real users

- Report about app installs, reviews, users, and course participants

Milestone 2: Milestone 2: Improved moible app, An additional mobile-friendly course, the very first mobile-based Cardano development hackathon

Milestone outputs:

- Updated mobile app with improvements

- An additional mobile-friendly course

- The very first mobile-based Cardano development hackathon

Final Milestone: Final Milestone: Regular updates with additional courses and hackathons

Milestone outputs:

- At least 1 additional mobile-friendly Cardano course

- At least 1 additional mobile-based hackathon organized

Acceptance Criteria:

- New mobile-friendly coding course with 100+ learners

- New mobile-based hackathon organized, with at least 50 developers joined

- User feedbacks collected and improvements done

- Release Closeout Report and Project Closeout Video to summary the process and result of the whole project

Evidence of milestone completion

- Total report about app installs, reviews, users, course & hackathon participants

- Total report for the whole project

- Report on user feedbacks, improvements and lessons learned

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

Tim Nguyen (Technical Architect & Lead), he is also the Tech Lead of the danolearn.com in Fund11

Vu Lan Phuong (Product Manager & Community Lead)

Our internal developers (10+) to complete the mobile version and contribute in the mobile-friendly contents for courses and hackathons.

We will be looking for external contributors to the contents also.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources

Most of the 50k ADA requested will be used as rewards for content creators, course finishers and hackathon winners.

We will cover the cost for development, marketing and operation by ourselves. A small portion (10-30%) of the fund will be given to the development team as additional rewards.

No dependencies

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

70-90% off the fund received will go out to ecosystem to build the open problem set and grow Cardano developers community.

10-30% of the fund will be given to the development team as additional rewards. Main cost for development, marketing & operation is covered ourselves.
