Detailed Plan
Problem
Developing on Cardano is too hard. Buying a Cardano DApp solution is too expensive - particularly from within an Emerging Economy.
The problem our technology solves is to provide an easy, scalable, and efficient way for large governmental organizations and enterprises to build decentralized apps and critical registry solutions on the Cardano blockchain.
In a truly decentralized world, this means that power has to be given to each country and their organizations to be able to develop the requisite applications in a manner in keeping with their laws, languages, and legal traditions.
It is costly and inefficient to build one registry, or track and trace solution, and require governments to purchase that one system and pay steep consulting fees to modify it to suit their needs. This approach often fails because it is based on the perpetuation of a centuries old system whereby talent and technology must be imported into Africa leaving the intellectual property in the hands of the exporting nation, and the debt and expense in the hands of the purchaser.
Our Joget Cardano Enterprise DApp Low Code Visual Builder solution enables us to build framework templates for registry solutions, supply chain traceability, education and training, healthcare, and more whilst permitting local governments to build out and deploy a large system that meets their national specifications and requirements themselves from within their country.
Our solution is a visual Cardano DApp builder that executes in the cloud as a SaaS model or from a local instance. It is designed to enable business and citizen developers to quickly and easily build complex enterprise solutions that scale.
Goal
In short, instead of imposing a software solution created in a far off land, at great expense on the people of Africa; we provide them with the tools to rapidly, easily, visually and economically build their own powerful systems with the support of pre-built templates created from international and regional best practices - all on Cardano.
Demographic
Our proposal targets:
- IT Leaders working within Governmental and Nongovernmental Organizations
- Business and Professional Developers Working in Enterprise
- Citizen Developers (Students and Aspiring Entrepreneurs) looking to create that next big idea or launch the next great start-up
The technology is intuitive and individuals can start building DApps by merely following a few tutorials and videos that are available online today. For those looking for more in depth knowledge, the nature of our technology means that a simple training programme is sufficient to teach interested individuals what they need to know in order to design and develop the workflows and interfaces of the applications they need.
Joget makes building blockchain DApps more akin to designing and building websites in WordPress or Squarespace.
All of this means increased adoption for Cardano:
- more people can develop on Cardano;
- more enterprises are adopting Cardano DApps;
- more transactions are dependent on the Cardano blockchain; and
- More enterprises and individuals have a use for ADA in order to fund their application transactions.
Action Plan
- Extend Existing Joget-Cardano Plugin to include full interoperability with the Cardano Blockchain - in particular, the inclusion of Smart Contracts.
- Outline a Framework for Incorporating Future Cardano Modules from Governance, to Decentralized Finance, Secure DID, into the Joget-Cardano plugin integration.
- Deploy a Range of DApp Templates to accommodate registry and track and trace needs in the agrifood, greenhouse gas, minerals, real estate, land registry, health-care, vaccination, education, and mining industries.
- Work with WADA, Cardano Ecosystem Partners, and Members of the Public in Africa (specifically Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa) to train and acclimatize users with the ease with which Cardano-based DApps can be built and deployed with Joget.
- Engage Emerging Market Governments, Businesses, and Educational Institutions to use the Joget-Cardano integration as a foundational entry point and tool for learning, building, and deploying DApps on Cardano.
- Partner with VCs, Incubators, Multilateral Development Organizations, and Accelerators to educate and equip their team members and employees as to the benefits of using the Joget Cardano tool as the fastest and most economical path towards working MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to fully developed and deployable ready to use DApps.
- Create a Training Incubator Based in Accra and Kumasi Ghana that supports entrepreneurs in Africa from idea germination, through incubation, through Series A funding coupled with international incorporation facilities to ensure that the incubator creates firms that export software and technology services as opposed to the existing model where foreign entities parachute into the continent, claim a partnership on favourable terms to them alone, and subordinate local partners in what amounts to a bad business deal.
