[IMPACT]

The creation of a Hub-Complex, three separate clubs within three universities is a good opportunity for the on-set of future sourcing activities in the North Africa region to expand Cardano’s Community Hubs. The Hub-Complex fosters an ecosystem that offers students diverse opportunities to become innovative leaders in both the professional and academic blockchain spaces as to embody the core values that fuel the blockchain technology: transparency, trust, privacy, efficiency.

The access to opportunities, be it in attending events, seminars, webinars, and incubation programs while having the backup curriculum Cardano experts is a great opportunity.

The means to attain our predefined goal, that is scaling up Cardano’s community hubs, is through installing a Hub-Complex that is interconnected between three local tunisian universities, the Cardano blockchain ecosystem, and businesses and organizations. Accordingly, the events and marketing campaigns will be growing this Hub-Complex as a component that fuels the overarching Cardano Community Hub. This Hub-Complex is the leading figure of this proposal. Indeed, because the end of the sourcing period ends with the beginning of exams, even before a month of time for the students to focus on their studies, the execution of three roadmaps will be unfolding from January to the start of May ( 8 months).

The risks foreseen in this project consist of:

  • Not enough memberships in the clubs.
  • Covid-19 and social distancing protocols.
  • Regulatory framework in cryptosolutions and conversion.

The mitigation measures we will adopt to limit the aforementioned risks are:

  • Maximizing reach through marketing campaigns to not only the three universities concerned but to the neighboring 2 to 5 universities in the premises.

  • Adapting the calendar and switching to online/hybrid mode: webinars in place of seminars for example.

  • Tunisian regulations are shifting now towards rendering cryptocurrencies convertible to the Tunisian local fiat. This mitigation measure’s rigor will be determined by how much our teams will be flexible to the news in this department; accordingly the marketing campaigns will include the component of the regulatory framework.

Community gathering and growth in North Africa around Cardano Blockchain and its native token Ada, the cause for decentralization are not emphasized enough. With a lack of orientation between youth and ecosystems of idea-maturing, a piece of the puzzle is lacking: how to connect students and young entrepreneurs to introduce them to the portal of Web3 and Cardano-powered innovations, thus significantly boosting their chances of exposure to international foundations and opportunities?

This proposal is not a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst.
