Please describe your proposed solution.
Goodwall’s mobile-first platform guides over 2 million youth aged 16 to 24 on their educational and career journeys, with 35% being in East Asia. We will leverage the current community in the Philippines and an ecosystem of partners to help youth maximize their potential and impact society positively.
Goodwall members create their unique profile on the platform where they showcase their skills, interests and achievements. They are able to join a global community of members and engage with them on topics of interest. The platform also links members with global opportunities, for example, accessing courses, scholarships, internships, volunteering and jobs locally and remotely. Lastly, Goodwall helps members grow their skills through participating in experiential challenges - this would be where the Cardano pre-hub Philippines challenge would fit in.
Through this challenge, we aim to educate youth in East Asia on blockchain technology in general, what it means, how it can change the future, and the multitude of applications it can have on everyday life, and inspire youth to think of ways Cardano solutions can impact their livelihood and communities for good. To execute this program, Goodwall will create and share thematic educational content in the form of videos, hosting speaker sessions etc, and engage youth to drive awareness of how blockchain can be used to drive social impact. The content will be available in English and Tagalog.
The co-branded content will be launched on the app by local influencers, shared with partners’ networks, and promoted through paid marketing channels, and will cover every learning step through the blockchain: from audit capabilities through to visibility, from ledgers to smart contracts. We will also energize the community about how Cardano tech solutions can be used.
Youth will be asked to engage with micro tasking that:
- Mobilize youth to achieve tangible impact
- Propose solution-oriented ideas on use of Blockchain
- Provide insight into youth’s interests and behaviors around Blockchain
- Build a local Cardano community connected to the Eastern Townhall
This program will also prompt and incentivise Goodwall members to upload their own user generated content, describing their experiences with blockchain technology and what they have learned so far. Incentives include monetary prizes, access to further blockchain education courses, mentorships, etc, will be offered.
Youth in the Philippines and broader East Asian region will be the primary beneficiaries of this intervention, gaining skills, knowledge, rewards and the opportunity to connect with other young people interested in Blockchain technologies. The intervention also aims to bring more exposure to the Cardano community and in so doing, grow the Cardano community in the Philippines.

Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.
Goodwall already has a significant community of members in the Philippines. Through this program, we will leverage and grow this community, while at the same time educating them about Blockchain, and more specifically about Cardano. Education and engagement are thus the primary aims of this program.
What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?
Lack of awareness and education - Goodwall will promote Cardano and the educational videos created both on app and externally through digital marketing.
Vague requirements - Proactively engage with the African Cardano community during the project planning phase to help understand the exact requirements and expectations.
Lack of engagement - Youth in Africa might be more eager to learn about other basic skills rather than about technology, but Goodwall has the expertise to design easy and appealing educational content for GenZ, as well as challenges with earning opportunities and prizes.
Budgeting issues - It is necessary to use our project scheduling tool, following the budgeting procedure, and make realistic assumptions to avoid cost overruns.
Limited engagement of stakeholders - Goodwall will collaborate closely with the Cardano community, inviting the community to engage with the project team directly.
Fake news - It’s important that we fact check everything before sharing content. This will be achieved through our community managers who monitor all posts.
