Developing a Cardano-specific Desk Watch: a stylish, e-ink display device. Ideal for Node Operators / SPOs / DReps for monitoring key metrics seamlessly.

Features

  • Blockchain Metrics: Real-time display of blockchain health like block height, transaction throughput, total staked ADA, and network participation rate.
  • Pricing Information: Current ADA price against major currencies (USD, EUR, etc.), and price charts over various time frames.
  • Node Metrics: Critical stats from the user's own node such as uptime, performance, block proposals, and rewards.
  • Notifications: Alerts for important events like price jumps/drops, node issues, or significant network changes.
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi enabled to pull data from various APIs and a dedicated interface to the node it monitors.
  • Customizability: Users can configure what metrics are displayed and how alerts are managed via a connected app.

Hardware Component List will consist of

  • an e-ink display (or low power consumption and high visibility),
  • a microcontroller (e.g., Raspberry Pi or similar)
  • Wi-Fi module for network connectivity,
  • and USB-C for power.
  • Additionally, the case will be made from durable, eco-friendly materials suitable for 3D printing. .
