Catalyst Treasury Guild

[IMPACT]

The Treasury Guild aims to offer first direct services and tools to Projects in an early stage of their emergence and where treasury management can be outsourced to trusted people. As Catalyst Circle Treasurers, we enjoy the full trust of the Catalyst Circle and want to use our earned trust to offer our services to community projects.

(A) Treasury Management

We offer a 1 to 1 treasury service to projects within the Catalyst Ecosystem.

We set up and manage Project Wallets and the distribution of funds in funded proposals’ wallets. Transaction data are recorded in GitHub and Gitbook.

As projects are able to outsource their Treasury & accounting management to an external party, Projects which take our services will benefit directly by having more time to build and execute their own projects.

For the community it will add more transparency by having independent treasury management. The community will have a better insight into the business of projects, transactions and how the money is spent.

(B) Accounting Services

We keep track of all budget items and the exchange rate at which the funds were released to ensure that the budget is spent correctly.

We include metadata in the transactions enabling future dapps to pull data and create dynamic tailor made dashboards & templates

The current system is still in the experimental phase and involves a lot of manual input and is not directly connected to the blockchain. We envision implementing all our activities and operations on the Cardano Blockchain via tailor made tools and dapps to ensure an easy use and transparent tracking of funded projects' activities.

The Treasury Guild offers services and tools to the community which are crucial to explore and establish a decentralized ecosystem and environment. We build crucial Treasury & Accounting concepts and mechanisms to make liquid democracy successful.

The Marketing and PR budget will allow us to hire professional marketing services to raise awareness of our Project.

Staffing up the Treasurers Guild might cause the biggest Challenge for us. Experts have to be found and onboarded. As accounting and treasury management is definitely not the sexiest activity, it's hard to find skilled and committed community members who are able to take the responsibility of a Project Accountant & Treasurer.

As we are close collaborators to many key projects within the Catalyst Ecosystem, we plan to use our network to recruit and onboard new members to the team.

By building our website, Github repos and Gitbook, we aim to offer and guarantee full access to our budget allocations and distributions.

A fully operational and active Assembly of full time Contributors, merging their skills and expertise to provide effective solutions, tools and services to the Cardano Community. The Guild will recruit new members based on engagement and commitment and will therefore naturally grow in parallel to the Catalyst Ecosystem as a whole.

To ensure our legitimacy, our actions and operations will be fully transparent, tracked, documented and displayed.

We successfully contribute to the Ecosystem in becoming a fully decentralized and autonomous Community
