As we are approaching an era in which manufacturing responsibility and proof will become essential, a mechanism that integrates blockchain into the decentralized data system envisioned by Digital Product Passport will be necessary. The days when you can just make something and sell it as is are over, so we need to use Cardano to realize a passport for things.

By assigning a data-encrypted passport to a "thing" and minting NFTs, it is possible to manage the distribution history, attributes, and reliability of the "thing".
