Solution

We will create a Youtube channel to interview dReps. dReps can share what they want to bring to the community and Cardano through dRep. The community can choose dRep to delegate their vote easily.

Problem

A lot of people don’t know about dRep

Voter doesn’t have much information about dRep to delegate their vote

Many people want to become dRep but don’t know how to introduce themselves to the community

dRep Interview Channel - Helps dRep Better Access ADA Holders

Please describe your proposed solution

dRep is a very important role in Cardano's on-chain governance. But not many people really know what dRep is, how to delegate their vote to dRep, what knowledge and experience is needed to become a dRep.

Voters really want to delegate their vote to dRep who have great experience, knowledge and vision. But the voter has no way to interact, ask and answer with dRep to know the capabilities of the dRep.

Many dReps have great experience, knowledge and vision. But there is no way to reach out to the voter community to delegate their vote to these dRep

Therefore, we created a Youtube channel to interview dRep and introduce dRep to the ADA holders community.

The content of the videos in this youtube channel is aimed at:

Update information about dRep to the community (how to become dRep, how to delegate voting,…)

Interview dReps to share what they want to bring to Cardano by becoming a dRep for Cardano (vision, experience, knowledge, personal opinion,…). This makes dRep accessible to many like-minded voters. Voters can choose the dRep that suits their wishes

Languages in these videos are English and Vietnamese. Video interviews with dRep and voting in English will be added with Vietnamese subtitles.

Video interviews with dRep and voters in Vietnamese will be added with English subtitles

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community

This proposal will address 3 problems

1.(Diversity of dReps) Did it lead to the onboarding of diverse dReps with different languages, national origins, occupations, genders, ages, religions, etc.?

We interviewed dRep and voter using 2 languages, English and Vietnamese. Therefore, it is possible to help dReps who do not know Vietnamese to still be able to reach the community of ADA holders in Vietnam. ADA holders in Vietnam who do not speak English can still delegate their vote to dRep who do not speak Vietnamese.

2.(Number of dReps) How many dReps were onboarded?

Through these videos people will better understand dRep and can become dRep easily. It also helps encourage more people to become dReps.

3.(Number of delegates) How much did it contribute to increasing the number of delegates to dReps?

Our videos will help ADA holders better understand dRep and they can participate in voting for Catalyst without the same difficulty in knowledge and experience as before. Choosing dRep will also be easier. This motivates ADA holders to participate more in Cardano

4.(Make accurate decisions) How can dRep voting decisions be more community-driven?

Sharing from different dReps in the interview videos will help dReps gain more knowledge and perspectives on decision-making in the Cardano ecosystem.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

We conducted over 20 interviews with people aspiring to become dReps.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

dRep Interview Channel will serve as a pivotal platform for fostering deeper engagement and understanding within the Cardano ecosystem. By providing a direct channel of communication between dReps and the broader community, this initiative offers several key benefits:

  • Expert Representation: A minimum of 24 individuals with proven experience and knowledge in Catalyst and Cardano will take on the role of dReps. Their direct involvement ensures that informed and strategic decisions are made to benefit both Catalyst and ADA holders.
  • Educational Resource: The interview channel will serve as a valuable educational resource for those seeking to understand dReps and Catalyst more comprehensively. By watching these interviews, viewers can gain insights into the dRep role, the decision-making process, and the broader implications for the Cardano ecosystem.
  • Shared Perspectives: dReps participating in the interviews will have the opportunity to share their unique perspectives and experiences. This exchange of ideas will contribute to a more informed and collaborative approach to decision-making, ultimately benefiting the entire community.
  • Community Access and Understanding: The interview channel will provide a platform for direct interaction between dReps and the community. By answering questions and sharing their insights, dReps can foster a deeper understanding of their role and the factors influencing their decisions.
  • Enhanced Accessibility: The dRep Interview Channel will make it easier for ADA holders to connect with and engage with their representatives. This increased accessibility will foster a sense of community and trust within the ecosystem.

In summary, the dRep Interview Channel will play a vital role in bridging the gap between dReps and the broader Cardano community. By promoting transparency, education, and engagement, this initiative will contribute to a more informed, collaborative, and successful ecosystem.
