This proposal was approved and funded by the Cardano Community via Project F11: Cardano Open: Ecosystem - non-technical Catalyst funding round.

[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution.

I. Reason for access

  1. The Cardano community in Vietnam is considered the most vibrant in Southeast Asia, including many developers. However, developers have not fully utilized their capabilities to actively contribute to the development of the Cardano ecosystem in general because: the Cardano ecosystem is built on the Haskell, Plutus and Marlowe language platforms, These are programming languages that are still quite new to Vietnamese developers.
  2. In Vietnam, there is no properly organized curriculum or course on Marlowe, so developers in Vietnam have difficulty learning and exchanging about the Marlowe language.
  3. The Cardano ecosystem is in the process of building its foundation and has strong development potential, requiring huge resources from developers to create highly applicable products to bring the Cardano Blockchain to life. The current situation is that Vietnamese developers lack knowledge and skills about Marlowe, which affects their ability to develop DeFi applications on the Cardano platform. This issue is extremely important because Marlowe played a key role in building smart contracts and decentralized finance applications on Cardano.

II. Targeted object

  1. The free course proposal will target Vietnamese developers, providing them with basic and advanced knowledge of Marlowe. We will provide learning materials, instructional videos and practice exercises to help them get acquainted and apply Marlowe in real projects. We will also build a support community with online forums and live engagement sessions so developers can exchange experiences and support each other.
  2. This free course proposal is also aimed at the general community, programming enthusiasts, users of Smart Contract products on the Cardano ecosystem. We equip them with foundational knowledge so they can evaluate a Defi product or smart contract, and choose the appropriate product when using it. This helps the Cardano community fully integrate into the global Cardano community.
  3. The proposal is also aimed at people who do not know programming to join the course to be able to create Defi applications or Smart Contract products for their own personal use and needs. This is also an opportunity for the Cardano community to find their professional position in the Cardano Blockchain.

III. Unique point of the solution

  1. This solution is unique because it will create a truly quality Vietnamese Cardano community and participate in building and developing a strong, sustainable, diverse and rich Cardano in Vietnam, encouraging cooperation and share knowledge.
  2. Developers will benefit from mastering the Marlowe programming language, have the opportunity to expand and develop their capabilities to be able to create DeFi applications on Cardano and increase career opportunities.
  3. For Cardano, strengthening the Marlowe user community in Vietnam will contribute to the development and expansion of the platform's ecosystem, attract promising projects and increase Cardano's application in the financial sector decentralized government.

[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community.

  1. The solution to organizing a free course on Marlowe for Vietnamese developers will solve the challenge of lacking programming knowledge and skills based on the Marlowe language, providing developers with the opportunity to approach and get acquainted. with this programming language. By training and supporting developers, we can create a rich and diverse Marlowe developer community in Vietnam. The course will also give inexperienced programmers a head start in the world of blockchain. They can then build their own career by designing applications using Smart Contracts through the simple programming language Marlowe, or they can also seek employment with other projects.
  2. So this course will solve many problems at once that the challenge presents: help improve education about what is available in the ecosystem for developing or operating infrastructure. In particular, the course will also contribute to helping developers easily develop projects on Cardano. Furthermore, our course will create high-quality resources and standards for developers to use, while helping the Cardano Blockchain increase interoperability as Smart Contract products and applications develop. Active Defi application - making it easier for developers to write and deploy smart contracts on the Cardano blockchain; improve how communities and developers can publish and manage original content. Making it easier to use and more accessible for the Cardano community at large.
  3. This project of ours will bring great benefits to the Cardano ecosystem. First, it will attract and create a large pool of talented Vietnamese developers with Marlowe knowledge and skills, thereby expanding the ability to build DeFi applications on Cardano. This helps increase adoption and creativity on the platform, attract new projects, and enhance diversity in the ecosystem.
  4. Additionally, this project also creates a community of support and knowledge sharing, facilitating collaboration and exchange of experiences between developers. This will increase the growth and expansion of the Cardano community, while creating a positive interactive environment.
  5. The project's impact can be quantified by the number of developers trained and participating in the Marlowe community in Vietnam. It is expected that the project will attract a significant number of new developers and increase Cardano's presence in the DeFi sector. This helps increase creativity, expand applications and actively contribute to the development of the Cardano ecosystem.

To measure the success of our proposal to organize a free course on Marlowe programming language for Vietnamese developers, we will focus on the following indicators:
