FYI: JOIZ is already live and currently has 496 users.

JOIZ is a platform designed to redefine communication and connection, with a strong emphasis on privacy and security.

Our mission is to provide users with a seamless and secure environment to connect, share, and express themselves without compromising their personal information.

Until now, a token is required to use JOIZ. However, with Catalyst, we aim to make the tool free for anyone with a Cardano-Wallet.

We believe this will help onboard many new users to Cardano, as more people value greater privacy and data protection. Additionally, it's a tool that can be used daily, offering a real-world use case.

If we receive support from Catalyst, users who already hold a JOIZIV token will receive a full refund plus a gift back into their wallet. (The refund will not come from Catalyst funds.)

If the idea is not supported, we will continue with our current roadmap.

FUNCTIONS

Messaging:

JOIZ provides a messaging feature for users to engage in 1to1 or group conversations. Users can chat securely and effortlessly. End-to-end encryption.

Audio Messages:

JOIZ offers voice messages in addition to text messages in 1to1 and group chats.

Audio and Video Calls:

JOIZ offers high-quality audio and video calling features, enabling users to stay connected with friends, business associates, and family worldwide.

Audio and video calls are peer-to-peer via WebRTC. JOIZ does not store these and they are not retrievable.

Group Audio/Video Chat:

JOIZ supports group audio and video chats with up to 50 participants simultaneously. Whether it’s a virtual meeting, a family gathering, or a social event, users can connect with multiple individuals at once, fostering collaboration and community.

Audio and video chats are peer-to-peer via WebRTC. JOIZ does not store these and they are not retrievable. If you want to record, you need to use third-party solutions.

Screen Sharing:

JOIZ enables screen sharing with other participants during 1to1 and group audio and video chats.

PRIVACY

No Registration Form:

JOIZ implements a unique approach to user onboarding by eliminating traditional registration forms. Users only need a Cardano-Wallet to sign up, without requiring phone numbers, email addresses, or even a SIM-Card.

Privacy:

We do not store any data and do not use any analytic tools, etc.

By logging in with a wallet, we don’t know who you are, so you’re completely anonymous.

Even if you create a login with a “JOIZ-ID,” you remain completely anonymous because we don’t receive any information about you there either.

WALLETS

Supported Wallets:

Nami, Eternl, Yoroi, Flint, Typhon, GeroWallet, Cardwallet, NuFi, Lace, VESPR.

Wallet Privacy:

JOIZ uses hashes and does not store the addresses from logins.

APP

Mobile APP:

JOIZ uses a Progressive Web App instead of a traditional app.

After Wallet-Connect, you can create a JOIZ-ID and a password and use it to log in to the app.

Just visit JOIZ on your mobile phone and use “Add to Homescreen” on iOS or “Download App” on Android devices.

If you forget your password, you can simply reconnect via Wallet (using the same one you signed up with) and change your password.

As a user, you won’t notice any difference compared to a traditional app, but this way we prevent Apple or Google from linking your JOIZ account to your phone number.

Push Notifications:

Yes, you can opt-in after logging in and receive notifications similar to X for messages, calls, etc.

YOUR DATA

All information about you, including data such as chats, images, files, and audio, remains your property. JOIZ has no right to use or sell your data. Data that you delete will also be deleted from our servers. We do not collect, archive, or analyze your data.

Do i always have to log in with my wallet to use it?

No, you can create a JOIZ-ID and password. You’ll only need your wallet if you forget your password. This works on both desktop and mobile devices.

A secure, free communication app focused on privacy and data protection for the Cardano community.

Onboarding new Users:

A broader audience is targeted compared to other tools, as communication is a relevant topic for everyone.

Community Building for Projects:

Projects on Cardano can use JOIZ as an alternative to WhatsApp, Discord or Telegram.

Groups can be created for specific projects or topics, and these groups can be either public or private.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

Since JOIZ is already online, this should demonstrate that it is indeed feasible.

Additionally, I bring many years of experience in Web2. I own a Web2 company that creates websites and solutions for well-known brands and companies in Switzerland.

Personally, working in traditional Web2 has been offering me fewer freedoms, and projects tend to be repetitive, which was why I decided to shift my focus more towards Web3.

What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

Milestone 1: Open JOIZ to all users with a Cardano-Wallet.

Upgrade to a more robust and powerful infrastructure to improve speed and efficiency, as more users require greater performance.

Milestone 2: Completion of JOIZ Version 2 with additional features.

On-chain Governance

Milestone 3: Marketing and promotion both within and beyond the crypto space.

Creation of videos, placement of billboard ads, flyers, and participation in various events.

Milestone 4: Development of the JOIZ APP for the Apple and Google-Play Store.

Final Milestone: JOIZ V2 and the APP are already running, and users can vote and propose changes or suggest new features.

How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

We believe this proposal offers amazing value for the Cardano ecosystem.

Cardano can offer a tool that anyone can use for free, with real-world utility.

I strongly believe this will help bring many new people to Cardano and that the investment will pay off in the long term.

What we really need are new users from outside the Crypto-X and YouTube spaces. We need to draw attention with cool, innovative products.

The costs for the proposal seem high to some and low to others. This often depends on the country in which one lives and their expenses. JOIZ is based in Switzerland, which is associated with high costs.
