Konmahood is where we plan to build strong communities governed by the DAO. An exclusive space for users to form tribes, learn and be free!

Problem:

A true democratic community platform to learn, synergize & share opinions can only exist in a decentralized space. Problem? It doesn't yet.

Detailed Plan

Meaningful community events and interactions can only be encouraged in spaces that reflect true community values and interests. A safe space shared by beginners, enthusiasts and experts alike with a common goal is an asset to the betterment of any domain. Such spaces are rare to find and seem hard to create, but with the right structure and a decentralized, autonomous system governing it, they can thrive!

Our Aim:

Instead of building a separate application/solution to improve each aspect of community interaction; konmaHood aims to solve all the problem statements by being a stand-alone social media space for people that can be united by common interests.

Konmahood will be designed to create an online community deeply in-sync with natural social communities. It will be a decentralized worldwide online community that allows multiple interest groups to congregate under one roof. Communities will develop by adding value to and from each other, making it an excellent location to investigate, learn, and create.

We are creating a decentralized community network where individuals can join groups focused on specific niches. Every niche will be its own "tribe," and members may join tribes appropriate for their interests or expertise levels.

What is KonmaHood and how does it work?

Konmahood is a community forum with a democratic approach where people from different social strata, cultures, and backgrounds meet to exchange their views with the aim of creating a harmonious tribe. It is a place where professionals and enthusiasts come together to share their experiences and combine forces.

The community is forked into multiple tribes that are centred around exclusive domains under food, lifestyle, and art with independent stories, guidelines, and economies! Konmahood also plans to host various events across Southeast Asia to promote blockchain awareness and educate newcomers to Haskell and the Cardano ecosystem. We plan to start by hosting a tribe exclusive for blockchain, Crypto, Cardano and Haskell/Plutus as well!

You can join tribes as an enthusiast or as an expert and take up roles and help each other build the "tribe" into a robust and sustainable community. If you're seeking a certain kind of knowledge/service, you may search for the tribe to locate the right group of individuals. Alternatively, if you have specialized knowledge and wish to provide your services, all you have to do is let the community know.

Every tribe is a sub-community in Konmahood that has its own tribe rules where everyone can conduct their own poll(s) to make democratic decisions.

You could collectively vote to decide on something as simple as event dates, who the best tribe advisors are, how to put the membership fee for the tribe to good use, etc. And since this is governed by the DAO, the voting procedure is open and verifiable, can't be tampered with, and no one's vote is visible.

Tribes will charge a membership fee that may be used to employ tribe members to moderate and promote tribe events. The tribe's economy is entirely run by the tribe and its members, so as your tribe expands, the potential for what you can achieve together is limitless and empowering.

The Blockchain tribe will also act as a safe space for community discussions and grant proposals for Konma DAO.

How can KonmaHood help Cardano Community Events?

With a proper social media experience, interactions on KonmaHood are more dynamic and need not be limited to Telegrams Chats or weekly interactions.

Our Tribes are focused on over 15 different sectors with a potential of 100's of Tribes from each sector. Every time an exclusive tribe is formed, they have the potential to propose a relevant solution to the Catalyst Fund leading to 1000's of potential proposals.

These proposals can be voted on by the community of experts available in the tribes and only the best proposals will reach for the Catalyst Fund.

This also improves audibility and adds a layer of filter to ensure quality to the Catalyst Network bringing only our finest proposals, improving credibility.

If you would like to fully understand what Konma is up to, please look at our other proposals submitted with "Konma" in the Title. Konmahood is a part of a larger umbrella of systems we hope to design to move towards a sustainable society that not only embraces DLT but also understands how important it is to build healthier societies online to sustain it and celebrate it!

Why do we need the funds?

Apart from the obvious requirements stated in the budget allocation, we plan to allocate 25% of our Catalyst Funds back to the community through an exclusive internal economy for the tribes. Tribes can decide to use the funds to solve issues relevant to their niche or to just meet and have a good time.

The remaining funds shall be focused on platform development.

As we move to the next fund, we aim to increase community fund allocation to 75% in light of the potential increased number of tribes and use the remaining funds for maintenance, moderation, auditing among other things.

Clear Benefits:

Ensuring the ability to execute projects or understand proper means to acquire necessary expertise before making proposals.

Expert assessment of valuable proposals internally in tribes before being presented to the community to ensure authenticity.

Strong support systems and valuable guidance from Tribe experts and elected advisors.

Goals:

The main goal is to utilize the existing Konmahood platform to bring together a community that is well aware of Cardano and Project Catalyst. There are multiple other groups doing a commendable job in creating this community for Cardano like Catalyst Swarm. We hope to add value using our existing platform Konmahood to build and grow an active community that can interact and learn on a daily basis.

Demographics:

The primary target audience is within the Indian sub-continent. The major reason for limited participation from India is due to the time zone difference for the Townhall events. To create more awareness and increase the number of participants in Townhall we plan to host sessions in line with the Indian timing before the Townhall event.

Secondary target audiences are Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Maldives.

Action Plan:

  • Create a Project Catalyst Tribe under Konmahood.
  • Create resources and content to educate and create awareness about Project Catalyst.
  • Conduct pre-townhall events to sensitize participants and tribe members about Project Catalyst
  • Motivate people to bring forward their proposals and give a platform in these weekly sessions to trial run their proposals and get active feedback from the community. This helps build confidence and also improve their proposal and collaborate with the right people.
  • Educating the community members about the different roles they can take up as Proposers, Voters and Community Advisors.
  • As initial participants, we will set the guidelines for the tribe and conduct sessions to help with their proposals and create awareness about Project Catalyst and the various roles they can partake in. Tribe members who participate in the upcoming Project Catalyst can then moderate sessions to motivate newcomers to do the same and the ripple effect continues. This "Ripple Model" as we like to call it, will give a sense of comradeship, sense of belonging and set the base for a sustainable community.
  • Conduct a weekly roundup session post the Townhall session to discuss new proposals ideas if any and updates about the Cardano community.
  • Conduct Clubhouse sessions to spread awareness about the Project Catalyst Tribe and increase traction.
  • Daily discussions, polls and posts on Project Catalyst Tribe to keep the community active and the conversations going.
  • As mentioned above, 25% of the funding will be allocated to incentivize the stakeholders (Tribe Moderators, Tribe Managers)

TOTAL NUMBER OF EVENTS:

Pre-Townhall Event every Monday

AGENDA

  1. Introduction to Project Catalyst Tribe
  2. What is Cardano?
  3. What is Project Catalyst?
  4. Who is it for?
  5. What to expect?
  6. How to join the Cardano community?
  7. Upcoming event details conducted by Cardano (Related links will be shared)

Weekly RoundupEvent every Saturday

AGENDA

  • Sharing proposal ideas by community members
  • AMA session related to Cardano, Project Catalyst
  • Session on stakeholder roles - Proposers, Voters, Community Advisors

Workshops (Weekly)

With a strong team of Train the Trainers, content writers and design thinkers in the Konma team, we would conduct sessions on topics such as

  1. How to write a proposal?
  2. Design Thinking
  3. Mind Mapping
  4. Public Speaking

The topics can be expanded further.

DESIRED OUTCOME:

With events and workshops we have planned, we hope to see the following things as success markers -

  • Increased participants from India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and the Maldives in Project Catalyst as Proposers, Voters or Community Advisors.
  • More proposals can be expected as Konmahood hosts multiple tribes in different niches and will be promoting Project Catalyst in all the tribes in Konmahood.
  • Instead of random proposals, there will be more refined and meaningful proposals as we are focused on conducting value-added workshops and bi-weekly events to bring more quality and credibility to the final proposal that comes to Project Catalyst. Consider what we are doing as a "filter".

Roadmap:

The roadmap we are giving is in line with Project Catalyst Fund 8.

January 2022 (Week 1)

Brainstorming for event structure and workshop modules. We have an outline ready for the events and will work on structuring it for better delivery.

January 2022 (Week 2-3)

  • Training the TTT (Train the Trainers) who will be moderating the session and conducting the workshops.
  • Workshop content creation - presentations, video content, shareable content etc.

January 2022 (Week 3 onwards)

  • Creating the Project Catalyst Tribe on Konmahood
  • Scheduling the weekly events and workshops for the next 3 months on par with the Project Catalyst Fund 8
  • Active promotions on Clubhouse, Instagram and Facebook to drive traction towards the tribe.

KPI:

  • The total number of proposals submitted by members of Project Catalyst Tribe will be monitored.
  • Workshops conducted will assess the proposal quality and help in improvement. Mock scores will be given to proposers in the workshop for the benefit of the proposers to better their proposal. This by default ensures that the quality of proposals coming on to Project Catalyst funding will be well refined.
  • Voting requires awareness and the voters from the Project Catalyst Tribe would be people who have seen each of these proposals being refined until it reaches the funding stage. Members of the Project Catalyst Tribe will be previously sensitized to the polling system on the Konmahood platform and will also be informed on how the voting process works on Project Catalyst. These voters can make informed decisions not just for projects coming out of our tribe but also for any project submitted in Project Catalyst.
  • A sign-up form for people who understand the role of becoming a CA or VCA will be circulated within the tribe to create a data pool. Only members who have attended 2 weeks of the bi-weekly session will be allowed to sign-up. These people will then go through the process of giving mock scores for proposals shared in the community. This will make sure that they give high-quality assessments in Project Catalyst Fund 8 and can assess key metrics thus making sure they assess more projects.

A mock-up is attached below on how the platform will support mock proposal submission and mock assessment and scoring system.
