[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

A legal map is a graphic with legal content that allows you to quickly understand the legal structure of a country on a specific topic without the need to be a lawyer.

A mind map is a diagram that represents related concepts based on a main topic or keyword. The main theme is placed at the center and expands in all directions with related concepts.

The mind map is also a study tool that facilitates learning because it allows the visualization of ideas in the form of diagrams; that is, from one concept other concepts related to the main topic are derived.

Mind mapping is a versatile and dynamic tool that combines abstract and free thinking with the rigors of association. In this sense, it is an ideal practice for the exercise of memory and for academic learning, since it allows the student to organize knowledge in his or her own way.

On the other hand, in the elaboration of a mind map it is possible to make use of several expressive mechanisms: drawings, colors, signs, words, etc. This makes the mind map, at the same time, a sample of the way of thinking of the person who elaborates it, similar to the maps of the cities.

We will elaborate the LEGAL MIND MAP OF LATIN AMERICA, in different stages starting with the Andean Region.

Later on, in subsequent projects we will advance in this idea to have the legal maps of all the Latin American countries and at the same time to update the already elaborated ones.

[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

Sometimes, organizing ideas or developing a plan of action can become a really complex task: defining the main concept to work on, breaking down the subtopics, structuring the content in a coherent way.

In this way, the legal mind map that we propose is a very useful implementation for the proponents of ideas and those who are working in a country, without filling them with information, we propose a practical, versatile, useful and updatable instrument that really helps people to know their legal framework.

In this way we will help the community to approach their legislation, being an instrument scalable to all Latin American countries.

Although there are many methods for mentally organizing information, mind maps have long been presented as a great solution to this problem. Moreover, thanks to the transversality of its functionality.

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

When working on a legal research project, the greatest risks are in finding the right legal information, and that this information is properly updated. It is also likely that many times the information is not laws, but only resolutions or directives of public entities, which are difficult to find. For this reason we will work with a network of contacts in linkedin all of them lawyers to avoid this risk as much as possible.

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

This proposal will be developed in 3 months starting in October 2022.

First Month. October, 2022.

Final work plan. According to the thematic objectives stated above. Study and compilation of the information.

Second Mont. November 2022.

Structuring of the information and determination of the dissemination tool, there will be a specially dedicated web page.

Third Mont. December 2022.

Improvement of the image and distribution of the product. Evaluation and planning of the projection of the result to expand its dissemination and use.

This project involves in-depth legal research on the subject and in each country. Establish for each country the key norms and resolutions, directives, concepts and sentences, all through a specialized search.

The countries that will be worked in this first phase are the Andean countries of South America, and will be expanded in future phases to other Latin American countries.

Subsequently comes an exercise of structuring the mind map, with the help of a graphic designer. This involves a coordination of the regulations according to their area of importance, content and analysis.

Finally comes the dissemination of the information and possible adjustments and corrections.

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed budget breakdown.

The costs are the fees for the dedication of the specialized lawyer.

A specialized lawyer: 3.500x 3m : 10500

A web designer working meetings: 500x2m: 1000.

Website costs for its first year of operation. 500.

Additional costs for countrys : 3000

Total: 15000

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide details of the people who will work on the project.

[FEASIBILITY] If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

Considering the expandability and scalability of this project, we will present it again. We would present it with the objective of strengthening it, expanding it, improving it and giving it greater scope over time.

[AUDITABILITY] Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

Progress will be monitored on a monthly basis according to the work plan. In order to have a real audibility, a web page will be available from the second month of development and will be under permanent construction. It will be accessible at any time. This page will be available to all interested parties and will be the definitive web page to provide the information.

This page will have a section dedicated to the evolution of the project.

Monthly reports will be presented with precise data on the evolution through percentages.

[AUDITABILITY] What does success for this project look like?

Create a real tool for emerging projects at Catalyst to address the legal issues that prevent them from moving forward.

In this way through a legal mind map give direct access to solutions, allowing to know in a practical and quick way the legal framework in this matter and avoiding making mistakes and taking unnecessary risks supporting and guiding emerging projects.

It is expected that the proposals of each Latin American country from which a mind map is developed will make use of this practical and updated tool, thus we expect a great impact due to the ease of use and practicality of the instrument.

This proposal is scalable worldwide, we will start with the Andean countries and later we will expand in other proposals to countries in Central and South America.

Undoubtedly this proposal is widely adaptable, the scheme that we will develop will allow its use and adapt it to all legal schemes in different regions or countries.

[AUDITABILITY] Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

Entirely new one
