Prior to the couple of announcements from the central bank in Ethiopia a few weeks back, the blockchain community in Ethiopia was growing exponentially. These announcements were not an official statment from the central bank, but from one of the departments with was filled with very vague statements. After a few of us contacted the the central bank regarding clarification, they have conveyed an off the record statment that the contral bank's stance is not that which was implied on the statement. however, since the first statemetns were shared very widely in the news cycles it had created fear amoungst new memebrs.

My Proposal is to simply retain a lawyer to get official statements from the central bank that refutes the first statement and share it among the wider audience as well as publish it to bring back the enthusiasm that existed before.

Excessive beurucracy at the central bank that delays the process.
