Solution

Build a platform to connect employers and talent. Built on Cardano blockchain with SmartContract, crypto for payments.

Problem:

Most of the job search sites today are based on the mechanism: Hirer-Broker- Freelancer. The broker in the middle receives a commission

[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

We will build a platform that connects employers and talented freelancers worldwide, regardless of country or race. You can imagine it being similar to the upwork.com platform. I've drawn the model below to help you visualize it.

  • The website frontend will be served via IPFS decentralized file storage (for more information about IPFS, click here).

  • To create smart-contracts, we use Marlowe and Plutus to build backend logic functions (Create, Edit, Search, Invoice, Apply…) of the website. The Cardano blockchain is used for all backend logic functions. Because of these fantastic technologies, the platform can operate with zero percent service fees indefinitely. and will never profit from transactions involving freelancers and employers.

  • Through the Yoroi Wallet Extension, the website will connect to the Freelancer wallet and the employer's wallet to create profile information and add personal skills. The system will find related jobs posted by employers and connect them through chatbox/email using the profile and search commands.

  • After the two sides shake hands. The freelancer will send an invoice to the employer, wait for the ADA to be sent to his wallet, and both parties will provide feedback to each other.

[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

Let's start with the problem, which exists in the explosive information technology era from the beginning of the twenty-first century to the present.

Jobs in the information technology industry are always in demand, and numerous job search websites have sprung up to try to maximize the potential of people at all levels and in all fields. Most traditional job search websites today use the following mechanism: Employer - Broker - Employee. A commission is paid to the broker in the middle (possibly from both sides). This generally raises operating costs and deters stakeholders.

=> To address this issue, we will develop a platform that will connect employers and talent while charging no service fees. Built entirely on the Cardano blockchain and only accepting cryptocurrency payments.

Aside from that, this proposed solution is a potential solution that makes use of the power of Cardano smart contracts, bringing the Cardano blockchain closer and more valuable to everyone

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

A project always comes with potential challenges and risks

  • There are many competitors in the market, many popular platforms have been built for a long time and have many user sets.

=> We will focus on blockchain communities first

  • Occurrence of personal conflicts of interest (for example, not paying or intentionally sabotaging by sending false feedback to cause controversy)

=> Having a clear policy in place for how people deliver work and provide proof of completion

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

To complete the project we set out the following Milestones:

  • Milestone 1: 2 months after proposal is funded (release demo)

  • Building test net, development environment

  • Building infrastructure, CI/CD.

  • Build website, issue, status tracker

  • Building demo

  • Milestone 2: 3 months after proposal is funded (closed beta)

  • Run beta production

  • Run marketing on (Facebook, Google, TikTok, …) to advertise the platform, entice users, get more adoption.

  • Get feedback from the community (users, recruiters, developers, …)

  • Benchmark system

  • Enhance infrastructure more Reliability and Resiliency.

  • Milestone 3: 5 months after proposal is funded (public beta2)

  • Continue to run marketing campaigns on (Facebook, Google, TikTok, …) to advertise the platform, entice users, get more and more adoption.

  • Issue warnings and advice from the system to employers or freelancers who behave badly, against community standards.

  • Upgrade the rating mechanism (like other brokerage platforms (Uber, Grab, Airbnb, …), whoever has a high rating will be prioritized by the system to display and win more attention).

  • Milestone 4: 8 month after proposal is funded(Release)

  • Official release widely spread the platform adoption on social networks

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed budget breakdown.

Cost all during 8-month the project, but actually, all of the engineers will work with hour-rate per day, so the cost had been deducted one-third (deduct 2,6months) (compare in monthly)

  • Human resources (budget during the project)

  • 2 Sr. Fullstack backend engineers: 2,5k x 5,4months x 2 = 27k USD

  • 1 Sr. Frontend engineer: 2k x 5,4months x 1 = 10,8k USD

  • 1 DevOps/SRE engineer: 2,5k x 5,4months x 1 = 13,5k USD

  • 1 Product manager & Project manager: 2k USD during projects

  • 2 Marketing specialists: 3k USD during projects

  • Personnel re-employment costs, personnel risk prevention: 2k USD

  • Marketing/Research campaign: 6k USD

  • Blockchain Dev Engineer salary: 6K USD

  • Servers:

  • Product development environment (dev, tools, server, build,…): 6k USD

  • Domain/maintain fee: 2k USD

  • Total = 78,3k USD

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide details of the people who will work on the project.

[FEASIBILITY] If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

Surely, I will return in a later round for additional funding of Cardano Catalyst to help the Cardano Blockchain grow day by day, as the proposal currently makes no profit and only serves the community's benefit. More services will be added in the future to help raise funds for the project's expansion.

[AUDITABILITY] Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

Milestone 1: 3 months after proposal is funded:

  • Release demo, work with the 0% service fee strategy

Milestone 2: 5 months after proposal is funded:

  • Release production v1 version
  • Rekease Automating development flows (CI/CD, Monitoring, IaaS, …)

Milestone 3: 7 months after proposal is funded:

  • Release production v2 version
  • System stress benchmark results report
  • Release dashboard of Number of weekly/monthly users, number of transactions

Milestone 4: 8 months after proposal is funded:

  • Release the No-Cut-Fee-Work-Platform sustainably run entirely on Cardano blockchain for freelancers all over the world.

The project will be trackable using the aforementioned timeline via our website, Github, or after the project has been successfully launched.

Measure of success

  • The app's successful launch within the timeframe specified

  • The number of people who approach the app through our marketing channels

  • The number of people using the app to find job

  • The number of headhunter use the app to find employees

  • The number of people actually get the job through the app

[AUDITABILITY] What does success for this project look like?

Thousand people use the platform to find jobs, many employers use the platform to search for talents. Bringing to the community a platform running on Cardano that brings sustainable value.

[AUDITABILITY] Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

No previously funded project that this one tail. This is a new project
