Make a member of circle a DAO in order for the community to have more say in governance.

Problem:

To stimulate more community involvement in governance within Catalyst, we propose to use the Summon Platform to host one seat on Circle in which any ADA holder can vote on policy through.

To stimulate more community involvement in governance within Catalyst, we propose to use the Summon Platform to host one seat on Circle in which any ADA holder can vote on policy through.

[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

This will bring more participation to catalyst governance as ones vote will have an impact on policy and governance decisions. It will improve the catalyst governance system overall.

Voter participation and a more educated ecosystem.

Everyone should know when a vote is happening through the DAO via twitter, discord, or telegram announcements. They should also be given a summary of each position in the vote. This is how people will know the outputs and the results of a member of circle becoming a DAO.

[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

We literally just have to establish a DAO on Summon as a circle member. Our first vote can be to keep or remove the DAO as a member of circle if the community takes controversy with this proposal. This is super easy and anyone can do it.

[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

We already know it is feasible because other DAO's have been established on summon. The issue lies in communicating votes, the importance of votes, and getting voter participation. We can fund voter incentives in the future if people like this idea.

[RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

The ADA in this proposal will not be claimed by anyone. We will either put the money towards a DAO multisig or give it back to the catalyst treasury.

If we are allowed to give the money back you are paying an American quarter to get a return that could be revolutionary for governance in Cardano. There is almost no risk.
