Solution

The NFT Guild identifies common problems and needs, coordinates efforts, creates open spaces for discussions.

Problem:

The Cardano NFT community is working in silos on similar initiatives for tools and standards.

It needs an open space to network, connect ideas and projects and set standards collectively.

[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

The NFT Guild is an Assembly of highly engaged and dedicated Cardano Community members which come together to identify & initiate solutions for the healthy growth of the NFT Ecosystem

We organise Community Events & Initiatives to nurture collaborative efforts of Community members, key players and thought leaders of the NFT space

Weekly Community Calls ( Public Events )

In these Events we hold general discussion on the NFT Guilds operations & activities while receiving input & feedback from the Community. This helps us stay close to the real needs and challenges the NFT Ecosystem and community are facing.

Cardano NFT Roundtable

The Cardano NFT Roundtable (CNR) is an initiative between Cardano Community Members, NFT Platforms, Minting solution providers, Toolmakers, Cardano Ambassadors the NFT Guild and the Cardano Foundation, coming together to discuss and align on common challenges and to identify & initiate solutions to support the healthy growth of the Cardano NFT Ecosystem and its Community.

What this Event tries to solve

The NFT Ecosystem consists of various groups, projects and interests, often acting in silos and therefore blocking its own emergence and evolution. The NFT Roundtable aims to gather influential people and projects within the NFT Ecosystem, start some first conversations across multiple centers and to break existing silos and to gather crucial feedback on common challenges

Calls happen on Zoom and are recorded & uploaded for an open access to the NFT Guild Youtube Channel and website.

CNRs takes place on a bi-weekly basis.

These calls are hosted & moderated by the NFT Guild.

The NFT Roundtables have been a great success so far and we are able to have a strong list of Roundtable participants which are able to drive a strong impact on discussed topics

Roundtable #1

<https://www.youtube.com/embed/O8ITNnRcP8I?start=1>Roundtable #2

https://www.youtube.com/embed/CO_GykTDw9MPart of our mission has been to identify the needs of the Cardano NFT community and formalise them as a Challenge Setting in Project Catalyst.

The Fund 10 version of the challenge setting is here:

<https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/417910>

Further, there is a serious demand of time investment from the NFT Guilds members to communicate, coordinate & collaborate our actions across the Cardano NFT Ecosystem and Community.

[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

The NFT Guild aims to become a nascent DAO structure on Cardano and provide the framework for how other innovative DAOs can operate on our blockchain.

Our members have great experience with setting up and organising community frameworks and our medium to long-term goals seek to codify this experience and create tools and infrastructure for the community.

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

The main risk is a lack of participation from the Community to engage in the NFT Guilds solutions & ideas

To mitigate this risk, we are looking to collaborate with strong community projects which are able to raise awareness of the NFT Guilds activities and operations and to ensure that Community members are aware, motivated and encouraged to participate in our initiatives.

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

[FEASIBILITY] If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

As we do not aim to develop a business model on top of the NFT Guild, it is most likely that we return to future Catalyst Funding rounds to enable resources for a further development of the NFT Guilds activities and operations

[AUDITABILITY] Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

The NFT Guild hosts a weekly call where progress is shared and discussed in addition to the calls needed for collaboration on this particular project. We would be glad to have you join any of our calls to hear the progress or join our project.

[AUDITABILITY] What does success for this project look like?

A well-established NFT Guild with an active community server with discussions and events to establish standards. A Github site with standards, specifications and best practices freely available to the Cardano NFT space.

Vibrant & constant community engagements & interactions in our events, Discord and social media channels.

The success of this proposal will also be defined by having resources to maintain the core activities and operations of the NFT Guild and to build a center of gravity for general ideas, visions and solutions which support the healthy growth of the Cardano NFT Ecosystem and which provides an open and collaborative space for the community to engage & interact.

[AUDITABILITY] Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.
