Solution

Release a complete solution for event management from minting ticket assets to different metrics and mechanisms to reward attendees & extend the experience of an event beyond attendance

Problem:

Regular ticket sales provide an event with little to no metrics on attendance beyond the tickets scanned, leaving event organisers with little to no feedback on the behaviours of attendees

[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

Feature set for enabling reporting and data for events.

Access to data for events goes beyond the attendance of ticket holders, it includes heatmaps, timestamps, and the potential to open up this info for gamification.

The goal is to build a small feature set to enable this to be added modularly to solutions provided to companies and businesses.

  • Heatmaps of attendance based on check-in / access to areas

  • Advanced reporting on attendees including times of entry, ticket-specific data, and more

  • Confirmation of attendance metrics

  • Updatable token metadata for attendees / non-attendees

[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

This product will create a much more easy and useful way for events to setup and administrate ticketing, providing a multitude of options for them to provide unique utility to their communities and gather valuable analytics at the same time.

The benefits for the Cardano ecosystem include the ability to utilise Cardano technology by events, showcasing the incredible potential this blockchain has and creating a platform for us to expand into other verticals such as sports and travel.

If we are successful we will be in a position to onboard millions of users to Cardano, without the need for them to even know they are using blockchain technology in their everyday lives.

It will also help to cement Cardano as the standard blockchain for ticketing and event solutions as companies and industries adopt Web3 technology in the coming years

[IMPACT] How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

Success for this project looks like a complete feature rich packaged solution for events and businesses to create and implement NFTs as Tickets, with all of the benefits of the CIP68 metadata standard and reporting dashboard in a single package

The largest measurement will be the adoption of this ticketing and management platform by Cardano events. Additionally we will be looking at additional KPIs such as:

  • Projects using application

  • Tickets/Tokens minted

  • Tickets/Tokens scanned

  • Wallets registered/connected

  • Rewards distributed

  • Tickets sold vs. Tickets scanned (Per event)

  • New user vs returning users (at subsequent events)

  • Post event surveys

  • From users

  • From Projects/Event Organizers

[IMPACT] Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?

We will share the development and deployment of the service through reporting. We will provide demos for the tools we have featuring tests we did through Cardano Events this year.

[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

Our team has already built the alpha version of the NftPass app, from blockchain integration to ui development, we have experience in mobile development, blockchain tools and backend development.

[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?

To create a reporting dashboard for projects to access features such as review data and reporting, token minting, attendee rewards distribution.

We will be running tests at various Cardano events such as RareEvo, XLV, and Cardano Summit. Each event we aim to test additional features to gradually expand the services we provide while adequately testing each feature progressively.

We are confident this is feasible as we have already completed a Beta version of the app and we have confirmed with multiple projects/events for them to use our services.

Our main success metric is the adoption of this solution by projects on Cardano

[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.

Paul is a full stack developer having independently studied backend/full stack web development (PHP/Laravel\Vue.js). Has worked for LE4F.Agency and how now started working full time for Betterbits which is a software development company. He has been the go to web dev and blockchain dev for SoundRig.

With a strong team of experienced and successful individuals, our combined experience and skills will help us with everything from development to testing and expanding the business outside of crypto.

[RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

By providing tools for events to interpret data about attendees, we create a tool that can enable better gamification and more interaction at events. Building a better experience will help the events grow and improve year on year.

But this is also something that can be used by other projects, like NFTs and blockchain companies in the real world or at events. They could set up their own scavenger hunts at an event, or do it outside of the event in a city. The ability to have people check in somewhere or scan something and create a piece of data with a location and a time can be instrumental in many different processes that require such a thing. Something that currently does not exist natively on Cardano
