[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

The people that understand the economic and cultural infrastructure of Latam the best are Latin Americans themselves. These people have unique insight when it comes to determining how best to bring Cardano to their communities. Educating them on the tech, connecting them with fellow crypto enthusiasts, and thereafter bringing them into the fold of project catalyst allows us access to this valuable insight. Our teams goal is to continue educating rural students on blockchain technology, onboard them onto our discord to network with other local crypto enthusiasts and foster collaboration to submit project catalyst proposals that will benefit their community

[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

The goal is of this challenge is to increase exposure of students and their ideas thus allowing for more funding opportunity and scouting opportunities for these students. Since most student entrepreneurs are suffering from resource shortages, especially in rural communities, our team plans on providing these students with high quality resources and onboarding them to our team as well as the cardano community. Since language can be a huge barrier to students our team will use our multilingual resources to increase the exposure of their ideas thus they can expect easier funding in future catalyst funds.

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

Challenge 1: Number of Participants

Solution:

  • Utilizing contacts with Defi Discussions network of schools in Quito
  • The formation of a Discord server
  • Incentives for participation

Challenge 2: Quality Content

  • Our team is currently already holding workshops in Paraguay and Ecuador. We are using these workshops as a learning opportunity to proactively improve our educational content.

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

One month after funding our team plans to host a 100 (potential up to 150) student workshop in Quito, Ecuador with 3 guest speakers/teachers where they will be guided through all the advancements in cardano as well as onboard them onto the ecosystem through ada airdrops, nft minting, wallet creation, project catalyst onboarding and discord server onboarding to access resources such as the weekly LatAm Town Hall.

[FEASIBILITY] If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

Our team is currently proactively onboarding new cardano members in Ecuador and Paraguay. We would like to continue this effort and thus our team does plan on returning to Catalyst in a later round or until our team creates self-sustainable community hubs.

[AUDITABILITY] Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

Our team plans to measure the number of people that end up

  • Having an active catalyst account account (CA or Proposer)

  • Commenting on proposals/communicating with community members online

  • Submitting proposals

  • Getting their proposals funded

  • Staking ADA

  • Minting NFTs

  • Creating ADA wallets

  • Participating in various discord groups

[AUDITABILITY] What does success for this project look like?

Having a substantial number of new community members on boarded. Most significantly, having brought on community members from Latin America that end up leading their own funded projects would be the gold standard measure of success.

[AUDITABILITY] Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

Conceptually it is a brand new project. We plan on hosting larger scale workshops through a new methodology developed by David Tacuri
