Cardano governance is being bootstrapped! On 21.45 UTC on September 1st the Cardano network Hard Forked. A hard fork is when a blockchain makes a non-backwards compatible upgrade. With this first of a two part upgrade, the platform reaches 1 step shy of bookending an eight year long initial roadmap. The bootstrapping phase is meant to give the community time to get acquainted with the new governance tooling for a period of at least 90 days.
