Campaign Brief

Throughout human history and civilization, it has been that every few centuries or so a confluence of factors align to transition us from one phase of development to another; The first and second industrial revolutions are prime examples. Right now we are barely out of the Web2 revolution and a fourth Industrial revolution or Web3 is upon us.
Although Africa did not play a key role in the first, second or third industrial revolution, it is poised to be a leader in Web 3.0 technology and those with foresight are positioning themselves strategically.
The Cardano community can be one of these visionaries. Let's be serious about seeding long term projects in Africa to capture a large share of an important emerging market.
Rationale for budget
Let's be frank here. We need much more than 250k to continue seeding Cardano in Africa. We are asking for this amount because of Catalyst voting patterns; in that $250k is better than $0 and Wada and Partners can still take advantage of other challenge categories to help expand Cardano in Africa.
Why is it important?
The 'Grow Africa' challenge is central to a key initiative of Cardano's, expanding into Africa. Allow Catalyst to also support this drive.
What does success look like?
Cardano is the blockchain of choice in Africa by 2023.
Projects and developers in Africa will not be isolated, but networked and growing.

Flood Africa with Cardano
Solution: Projecting Cardano Blockchain Tech. & its opportunities via Billboard advertisements & video animations on various social media platforms.
Empower 400 marginalized girls
Solution: Create a digital education outreach hub that supports 400 marginalized girls from Kenyan pastoralist communities for digital empowerment
Employment Credentials in Zanzibar
Solution: We aim to create a service to issue Proof of Employment-Credentials in PRISM DID to the employees in Zanzibar
Education Material for Workshops
Solution: Prepare professional Slides and Practical Guides that can be translated and used to run Workshop in Africa over 4 to 8 days in length
East Africa Cardano Innovation Hub
Solution: A Hub designed for collaboration; to allow people to share experiences, learn from one another and outsource or seek talent.
Duo - Afrikaans Gameplay
Solution: NFT based play-to-earn games often focus on natively English-speaking cultures, which diminishes the possibility of a rich global community.
DemeterGift
Solution: DemeterGift creates the most easy, transparent and fun NFT charity auction on Web3, by helping charities raise additional support!
Decentralize Impact
Solution: Building awareness on the opportunities Cardano offer to North Africa by a decentralized governance experience through an incubation program
Connect the unconnected through art
Solution: We mean to take the childrens art being made in different SOS-villages in Botswana into Cardano by making it live in the CNFT-space.
Community Driven Volunteering
Solution: We will use a peer to peer system and hire native Africans to "manage" volunteer programs to places needed most.
Children write African Stories
Solution: Give children an opportunity to use digital tools to write, their own stories in their own languages on an open sourced digital library
CATALYST RESOURCE IN SWAHILI
Solution: Collaborating with catalyst school to translate and provide education on Cardano and catalyst resources in Swahili language.
Catalyst Africa Town Hall (CATH)
Solution: Cardano Community in Africa needs space to connect with project catalysts and be able to engage, network and discuss within the ecosystem.
Cardano University Seminar
Solution: Seminars and workshops held on university campuses will open the chance for blockchain to be adopted as part of the university curriculum
Cardano to Portuguese-speak Africa
Solution: To grow Cardano in Africa, we will offer an online free course on Blockchain and Cardano in Portuguese for students and tech enthusiasts.
Cardano tokens in loyalty programs
Solution: The E-pay app offers the solution to these issues by providing higher engagement and customer lifetime value by being on the blockchain.
Cardano Tech Training in Malawi
Solution: We want to open a free public space where people can schedule time to learn about Cardano and tech, or just come and study on their own
CardanoOutreach - Africa Focus
Solution: Our funded project needs to hire local African speaking developers to promote our educational program to the various countries listed below.

Solution: Organize weekly live code meetups on Blockchain technology to expand the French community in order to broaden our knowledge on the subject.

Solution: The solution is to organize trainings for 200 key community influencers jointly with the West African Blockchain Community in 8 countries.

Solution: Create a data collection system fashioned after crowdsourcing that uses Cardano for data quality ranking and rewarding contributors.
