Detailed Plan:
To create more awareness around Cardano - we need to attract others outside our circle of influence. In order to do that we first need to answer their question of “Why should we be interested in Cardano?” Not only do we have to answer that question, but we have to get the viewer inspired enough to answer that question for themselves.
How do we do that?
Storytelling (Show not tell)
-Step #1: We need to create a story that is interesting, that sparks curiosity, and that the audience can relate with.
-Step #2: We need to pair that spark of curiosity with logic and reasoning for why they should be interested in the Cardano ecosystem.
For Step #1 We need to find a character that the audience can relate with via the emotional part of our brain, and follow that character’s daily challenges towards their goals. While revealing what this technology can do for them and their community in the future.
For Step #2 We need to have the logical part of our brains turned on - we can do this by showing them animations or creating digestible content that pairs with the story so the viewer can understand how Cardano works and what our mission is.
Weaving between both the emotional and logical parts of the audience’s brain, we can use storytelling as a tool that attracts people outside our circle of influence to inspire them to participate and build in the Cardano Ecosystem.
The Story :
Our story is going to be focused on a few people with different backgrounds in different countries such as Africa, to share the idea that Cardano can unite every human. We will also showcase the people outside of Africa that are building on Cardano. We want to show the audience what African citizens go through on the ground (their challenges and struggles) and who is building the infrastructure to have them help themselves through those challenges.

-The amount of people from inside and outside of the film industry made aware and understood the mission of Cardano.
-The amount of media generated on social media that is shared/retweeted/reposted.
-The number of Filmmakers that we collaborate with and inspire to make their own films.
-Amount of people sparked to join by watching these films to grow Cardano in Africa.
[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?
Like anything in life you have to take a step forward and expose yourself to have a chance to complete a challenge. We would be putting the reputation of ourselves and Cardano on the line regardless of how well this film is received. Another risk is disappointing the Cardano Community, but we have a month planned into our budget for any feedback from the community to make changes before submitting to film festivals. We know we can get it done, but the ratio of how well we can get it done to impact those outside the Cardano circle of influence will be revealed in time.
Possible Questions to Address
Why should we fund a film vs fund another type of marketing project for Cardano?
A feature film that pulls a person in to get them to sit down and invest their time to participate in the story, aggregates information in a digestible way that has more potential to light a spark in someone. Rather than what multiple posts on social media can try to achieve.
We don’t want to say that our film alone will bring in the majority of people outside of Cardano’s circle of influence, but we do want to try and bring in a large chunk of those people that are interested in filmmaking/storytelling. We want to impact the film industry itself as well as educating the general population on what Blockchain technology really can do for this planet, and we know that mainstream media will not tell these stories.
Not everyone goes out of their way to research what blockchain is, so we have to go to them and give them aggregated and digestible information so that they understand why Cardano’s Mission is important and inspire others to join us in that mission.
Why should we fund your team to work on this project over other projects that are proposing the same type of solution?
We have taken it upon ourselves to build a film that has a working ticket system for the Cardano community. If we can do that with no external budget and a small amount of time, we want to find out what we can do with the support from the community and more time to create a quality product that creates awareness for Cardano. We are actively reaching out to other filmmakers and creators in the ecosystem. Our mission is to collaborate as much as we can with as little competition in order to make use of all the skills people in the ecosystem can provide.
Summary
We wanted to come into this ecosystem with the mindset of providing value first, building reputation, and getting rewarded later. The reason we are asking for funding is if the community believes in us enough that they give us the funding needed to speed up the timeline while improving the quality of the film. This will reflect on the quality of the Cardano Blockchain and boost its reputation with those outside its circle of influence.

The community will be holding us accountable as we will be holding spaces and giving updates via twitter/social media on the current progress of the project. The story will be revealed over time for feedback from the community as we view this as a community effort to get awareness to the people outside of the Cardano ecosystem.
