Problem Observation
I have been making educational Cardano in Chinese in the form of videos, and it has been widely welcomed by Chinese-speaking people. However, many newcomers are asking similar questions over and over again, and telling them to rewatch a full 10-minute long video is not motivating them enough.
In the meanwhile of making videos, I took some time to make a website and put on a small text-based database of knowledge, especially regarding staking and wallets. New people have found them useful.
However, due to time constraints, I have not been able to expand and organize the text-based knowledge database.
In addition, the text-based resources in Chinese are scattered and limited. Most new people do not have the patience to go searching around for things if they cannot easily find them nicely aggregated in one place.
This has been one of the major roadblocks for Chinese-speaking people who are curious about Cardano.
Target demographic
Chinese-speaking people who are interested in learning about Cardano but have limited resources and language skills.
Solution
Build a website that has a comprehensive knowledge base of Cardano, including useful links such as wallet download, Cardano Foundation, Cardano Forum, IOG Twitter. Including also knowledge such as staking guide, Cardano ecosystem, Cardano CNFT guide.
The website should serve as a newbie Cardano 101 hub for all the Chinese-speaking people who are curious about Cardano.
Goal
Essentially, this website should bring new Chinese-speaking people into Cardano by giving them an easy way of understanding and navigating the Cardano ecosystem.
Visitors should find minimum confusion and friction when navigating this website. By the end of the browsing session, they should have a good idea about where to find and locate URLs such as Cardano official wallets, staking guide, CNFT guide, Chinese Telegram community, important Twitter accounts to follow, etc.
Roadmap and Action Plan:
Month 1
- get the website domain that is appealing to the Chinese-speaking crowd
- decide on a logical and user-friendly website structure
- build the website basic structure
Month 2
- Aggregate all the URL resources that need to be linked to on the website
- Categorize the URL resources and publish them on the website
- Gather all the basic text-intensive topics that need to go onto the website, most likely they are in English
Month 3
- Polish up the website structure by listening to the feedback of viewers
- Translate the text-based knowledge into Chinese
- Categorize the text-based knowledge and publish them on the website
- Share this website with the Chinese-speaking community and get feedback
