We propose to create a decentralized team that will work on a project that will further bring adoption by creating lottery games that which anyone can participate just with 1 ADA.

Problem:

There are not enough developers in Africa working on projects related to the Cardano Ecosystem.

[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

We propose to create a decentralized team that will work on a project that will further bring adoption by creating lottery games that which anyone can participate just with 1 ADA. This project will change lots of people's lives in the world because gaming and lottery always bring people together.

Lottery ADA Game (LAG) is a Plutus Smart Contract that enables users to play by sending 1 ADA. Any user can play as many times as he/she wants to increase the probability to be selected.

This contract is based on pure randomness which means that the random player will be the winner in every cycle.

Each cycle will last 2.5 days or 2 winners in 1 epoch, but this is something that can be set at any interval. After each cycle, a winner will be selected and the funds will be sent directly to the user wallets and the cycle will start again for the next day.

[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

This project will bring and educate lots of users in the Cardano ecosystem.

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

The main risks are getting the smart contract delivered in time or the complexity of the smart contract. We have been talking about the Canonical company: Smart Contract which already had experience building smart contracts for the community.

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

Phase 1 Development of the Project (14 weeks)

• Meet and Introductory of the Team/update Discord Channel (Duration: 2 days)

• Determine Framework of Project/ Continuous Integration (CI) (Duration: 2 days)

• Design Concept/Development Tools (Duration 4 weeks)

• Project Development/CI and Continuous Deployment (CD) (Duration: 8 weeks)

• QA/Monitoring (Duration: 1 week)

Phase 2 Development of the Project

We will be making continuous requests for phase 2 and the implementation of others' ideas.

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed budget breakdown.

  • 70% or $31000 will go toward building the project: Building the smart contract and UIX design. We have been talking to a company known by the community to build the smart contract
  • 15% or $6750 will go toward legal fees and anything related to the law
  • 15% or $6750 will be used for unexpected expenses.

Funds Distribution

  • The winner will get 65% of the total fund. This platform would allow anybody around the world to participate as long they can purchase ADA. For example, 1 million or less of transactions per on the network?

  • 10% will be set aside use for maintenance fees including infrastructure, developers, and daily operations.

  • 9% of the fund will be used to support a small pool that has less than 5 million live stakes by delegating to them. Nine pools will be picked randomly and they will receive 1% out of 9%

  • 10% will be used in Treasury funds

  • 5% will be used to grow or build communities in South America or Africa, and also support charities.

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide details of the people who will work on the project.

Abdoul Koanda: Propose/Cardano stake Pool Operator of Faso Pool, graduated from Plutus Pioneer Program first-cohort and member of Alonzo purple team.

Jose Ignacio Vazquez: Senior Software Engineer, Front-end architect, tech writer, meetup speaker, scuba diving lover. Passionate about Software architecture and sharing knowledge.

Qin Li : Ph.D. degree in Information Security and is working for a Top 10 Fortune 500 company as a cyber security professional. I am also a graduate of the Plutus Pioneer Program First Cohort. I have extensive software development experience and skills. I am also a good cross-domain communicator

Cacnonical Company

[FEASIBILITY] If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

No

[AUDITABILITY] Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

We will implement DevOps tools to track and measure our progress.

[AUDITABILITY] What does success for this project look like?

Success for this project will be able to test and launch this project on the testnet.

[AUDITABILITY] Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

This proposal was introduced in fund 6 but it did not get funded.
