[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

Blockchain is the future and will be fully implemented in our society in a few years, the main actors of Blockchain will then be the nowadays students.

The project here is to unite students from different Blockchains to discuss about the different projects and to learn from other Blockchains. We aim to create a students Blockchain community and promote blockchain to more students and to the universities' teachers.

As being part of a leading international French business school, I am aware of the potential that business schools have in terms of potential blockchain participants and possible newcomers in the system.

This proposal would be the perfect opportunity to teach the students that are interested in Blockchain but do not understand it really well.

About my school:

Grenoble Ecole de Management is one of the most influential business schools in France, it has a lot of International business students that can easily find an opportunity into blockchain technology. The students also have a lot of relations in the other French Business schools which can get the advertising in the universities easier.

Our plan:

First we are going to reach out to students from different Blockchains’ Telegram/Discord groups by sending a message to promote our project in the group (with a link). This message will include the link for our Discord and Telegram groups where the students can ask questions and discuss about Blockchain. Some research has already been done and there are a lot of different Telegram groups that are easily accessible.

Here are few examples:

<https://web.telegram.org/z/#-1321374280> - Cardano official Telegram (40000 members)

<https://web.telegram.org/z/#-1169362959> - Chiliz (23300 members)

The discord group will have all the important information, content, links that the project needs to be done.

After that, we are going to start having monthly meetings where one of the participants is going to make a presentation concerning the Blockchain they are representing. On the first call, our team, as representative of the Cardano community will present the Catalyst project. Then, we will try to find some volunteers to present their Blockchain’s project. On the first 3 months there will be only 1 presentation per month, and afterwards we will do two per month.

A breakout rooms will be available after each meeting for example for blockchain representative. In addition, after each meeting, a survey will be given on the group in order for us to know what there is to improve or change.

We will promote our project in Universities with the help of each student on the group. Our team will create a post that can be shared into the Universities websites / Groups where all the students can have access to the information.

The monthly meetings will be open for everyone, but will focus on bringing mainly students, moreover, the calls will be recorded and will be posted on a YouTube channel created for the challenge.

Why am I interested in Cardano ?

I know Cardano for about a year now, but I have really been active for fund 9 and I am now starting to understand the opportunity that Cardano can give to change the world, my goal is now to educate students, since I am a student myself, and in my opinion blockchain will be fully implemented in our society, I am concerned about the lack of knowledge that students have in this area.

[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

This project addresses the challenge by enabling a lot of collaboration between different blockchain communities.

Through this process we will also promote Catalyst and support some proposers from different blockchains doing proposals for the Catalyst project

Moreover, some ideas from the other Blockchain projects can be implemented in Cardano if relevant. We will connect such projects to relevant resources in Catalyst and Cardano.

It addresses the challenge by permitting to learn and teach other people about different blockchain technologies and through that create cross chain collaboration and promote blockchain and Cardano to many students

How does the proposal fit the challenge needs ?

  • increase communication, coordination and collaboration between chains

  • Possibility to solve challenges collectively

  • Make contributions to the ecosystem

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

Not enough people join the community - We will try to do the best marketing and advertising possible, with really professional posts in the different blockchains’ Telegram groups. We will also work on great content for the meetings so people will come back.

Lack of professionalism - In order to choose good presentations and to try to have interesting projects presented, our team will analyze each of the people's project to see if they are interesting + we will have the students that are supposed to present their project to tell us how it is going

Too many participants - We will do a survey so the people can choose the presentations they want to see

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

The timing of the funding is perfect as we start the student year in September.

September :

The key objective is to find few other key students working on other blockchain and interested in collaboration

Then define together with them the best way for collaboration

Some example tasks will be as follows:

  • Preparing a post to send to the different Discord groups and a full list of Discord groups
  • Send the message to the groups
  • Create the students Telegram group
  • Organize all the monthly meetings
  • Design a post to share to the Business schools
  • Inform people about the possibility of presenting and being rewarded for it
  • Open an Excel calendar where the members of the group will be able to see when are the presentations and who are presenting it (It will be modified during the challenge)
  • Create a survey for the people to fill up after the meetings to see if there is anything to change, improve

October :

The objective in this month to start the monthly meeting and promoting to students.

Some of the activities will include:

  • Prepare a presentation about Catalyst project
  • Present in the meetup
  • Marketing to students: Convince people that the Blockchain technology is the future - oin our meetings
  • Ask the participants to share the post to their school groups !
  • Discuss / Debate about the project with the participants
  • Answer the questions on the Telegram group
  • Prepare a genral introduction presentation for teh sessions
  • Share the survey on the Telegram group

November - December :

  • Continuing the presentation process (1 presentation per call)
  • Continue answering questions
  • Welcome the newcomers
  • Prepare introduction presentations for each call
  • Share the survey on the Telegram group for each call

January to May :

  • Continuing the presentation process (2 presentations per call)

  • Continue answering questions

  • Share the survey on the Telegram group for each call

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed budget breakdown.

  • Marketing and advertising :

  • Prepare materials and Reach out for students in the Telegram groups of the blockchains : $1000

  • Initial reach to promote the initiative: $1000

  • Organization of the meeting including materials and managing the meeting (pre, during, post): $800 (for 3 people) x 13 meetings = $10400

  • Preparing a presentation about Catalyst project and keeping updated information about Catalyst & Cardano: $250 X 8 months = $2000

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide details of the people who will work on the project.

[FEASIBILITY] If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

I find that Catalyst is an amazing opportunity for me as a student, to change the world.

As I am presenting multiple proposals in this fund, here is an explanation of the workload management and how will I manage my time for next fund.

I have several proposals in this fund and I am working as an admin for 2 proposals from fund 8, how am I going to manage my time with my team, adding also the studies ?

Even if I am studying, I still have extra time to spend on the proposals that I need to work for, I am really interested about working with Catalyst and I will manage to work after class, or wake up earlier to work for Catalyst. If I am really lacking some time, I have the chance to study in a business school, and many students can help me to get the work done.

[AUDITABILITY] Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

Overall, we want to check the action of the project, mostly about the number of people participating and the quality of their work.

  • Surveys are going to be distributed after each call to have a feedback
  • We are going to see how many participants do we have on each meeting and will decide to maybe do more effort in marketing
  • Number of people joining the student Discord/Telegram group
  • Videos posted on YouTube
  • Number of views / likes

A report will be given in the end of the project

As deliverables, there will be all the recorded meetings that we will have with the students as well as all the presentations that the students are going to provide.

[AUDITABILITY] What does success for this project look like?

The success will be calculated with the quality of the work provided.

The

  • Share the project in around 30 different Telegram groups

  • At least 300 students on the group

  • month 2-3 : 50 students

  • Month 4-6 : 150 students

  • Month 7-8 : 300 students

  • A lot of learning content provided in the calls and then posted on YouTube

  • Having some good feedback from the given surveys and from private messages sent by students

  • Possibility to continue doing this as a new proposal for next year

[AUDITABILITY] Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

New proposal
