Please describe your proposed solution.

The Cardano ladies colloquium will be a two-fold event, in-person and online, designed to educate, empower, and connect female entrepreneurs and student with the knowledge of numerous opportunities in the Cardano ecosystem. The in-person event will take place in Accra-Ghana and will target 50 female student and entrepreneurs, also the colloquium will be designed as a multi-day event, featuring keynote speakers, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities. The online session will come off after the in-person event to help ladies outside the borders of Accra to join the conversation of the cardano blockchain technology via zoom.

PURPOSE OF THE COLLOQUIUM:

To increase awareness and participation on the Cardano ecosystem among women in Ghana.

To provide female student and entrepreneurs with the vast opportunities and resources on the cardano blockchain technology.

To onboard the female populace onto the project catalyst ecosystem.

ACTIVITIES

1. Keynote speakers

- Keynote speakers will include influential people in the blockchain space, sharing their experiences and insights to inspire attendees. The speakers will cover various aspects of the Cardano blockchain technology, from its technical features to real-world applications, ensuring a holistic understanding.

2. Workshops and Training

- Training sessions will be conducted by experts to guide participants through the creation of the yoroi wallet, sending and receiving ADA in your wallet and how to register and log on to the project catalyst ideascale interface and learn how to be a reviewer and a project proposer.

3. Networking opportunities.

- Networking sessions among participants and speakers will encourage collaboration and connection among attendees, fostering a supportive community of women interested in blockchain. A community will be created on telegram for interested participants to join to further share more opportunities.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

Our team has been active in the catalyst ecosystem since fund 7. With experience in both business and nonprofit management, project management, and compliance.

Apart from our active involvement in the catalyst space, our team brings not only extensive experience and a high level of engagement in the Cardano Project Catalyst in terms of project implementation and successful outcomes that lead to onboarding and promoting Cardano among grassroots within our local communities.

Milestone 1: Project Planning and Setup (Weeks 1-4)

· Goal: Establish the project's foundation and prepare for initial operations.

· Key Activities:

Form the project team and assign roles and responsibilities.

Develop a comprehensive project plan and strategy.

Secure partnerships.

Establish a project budget and track expenses.

Define the target audience and develop marketing strategies.

Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

Angela Okai-Nartey: Project Lead and speaker

Angela Okai-Nartey is the Executive Director of the Ladies Network for Economic Freedom. She has 3 years of experience in Think Tank Development, Non-Profit Management, and Digital Marketing.

She holds a BSC in Information Technology from Ghana Communication Technology University. She also holds a Think Tank Foundations Certificate from Atlas Network Academy and a Digital Marketing Certificate from Google Digital Workshop. Angela is a blockchain enthusiast, She has been a Community Advisor since Fund 7. A challenge team member for Scale-UP Cardano’s Community Hubs in Fund 8.

Nathaniel Dwamena: Speaker

He is a researcher and free market policy analyst. He is responsible for the overall affairs, supervision, and progress of the Yafo Institute. He was part of the team consulted by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ Ghana) to undertake study on business red tape in Ghana.

He successfully completed think tank training in Nigeria and project management and fundraising training in Kenya and policy marketing in Tanzania which aided in his successful graduation from the Atlas Network Academy, Atlas Network (USA). He is a blockchain enthusiast and CEO at African Institute for Defi and Blockchain. He is in Cardano Ghana community and known for his educative lectures at Seminar on Cardano blockchain.

He graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology with a Bachelor of Law and a B.A. (Hons) in Geography and Rural Development with Economics as minor.

Richmond Oppong: Graphic designer and facilitator

Richmond is a graphic designer with over 10 years of experience in logo designs, print and poster designs, business card designs, 3D signage, and advertising and marketing. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design from Takoradi Polytechnic, Takoradi-Ghana. Richmond is a blockchain enthusiast and is actively part of the Cardano project catalyst community. He was a Community Advisor in Catalyst funds 5, 6, and 7, also was a Veteran community Advisor in fund 7, and a Catalyst Challenge Team member for ‘Scale-UP Cardano’s Community Hubs’ challenge settings for fund 8.

Gertrude Addotey: Event manager and project marketing director.

Gertrude is a student offering her BSc. Information Technology at Ghana Communication Technology University. She has a colossal knowledge in events management (light touch training center), and she is part of a Blockchain community. Gertrude has worked with McBranon travels doing entries and is currently exploring other useful fields which could aid in combating climate change and its effects.
