Detailed Plan

OctoWars is an ongoing project with a team of 5+ people working hard to deliver a high quality game.

The game combines trading cards and board games which are a natural fit for the Cardano blockchain.
It is an easy entry point for gamers because it requires very little knowledge of the crypto/blockchain world and very little money to actually play.

The requested budget is not needed to build the game, this will happen eventually.

If granted, the budget will be used to accelerate the development of the game.

Next 3 months

With the core set of cards finalized, the main focus now is on building the web based application and continue user testing online.
In parallel with the cards core set and game play, the blockchain R&D part is an ongoing independent process which is focused on Cardano/Plutus best practices and resolving the hard technical challenges.

Next 6 months

We expect to integrate all the parallel processes, like the blockchain R&D, into a single process with a predictable iteration and deployment model.

Next 12 months

As a continuation of the effort to integrate all the parallel processes into a single processes we expect a casual testnet launch with the mainnet launch coming before the end of 2022.
