This proposal is to develop a DID-prototype for "Aedou - Realm of Languages". PRISM DIDs play a central role in our architecture. Please refer to our main proposal in Fund 8 here:

We want to use reputation credentials to manage your DAO-membership (including your language proficiency, achievements and status), which is critical for our governance and necessary to enable the "earn"-functionalities of Aedou and protect against sybill attacks.
At this point, we think about creating our own emergent trust registry and verifying each other in the DAOs, but we are totally open to use whatever PRISM-projects are out there when we actually implement these capabilities.
Our second DID-usecase is for education credentials, that enable you to prove your progress and skills outside of the game. Each world's DAO will be the issuing entity for credentials connected to their DAO and their language world.
Our use-cases for PRISM-credentials of reputation and education are very important verticals of Atala PRISM. The early development of a prototype for these will give valueable insights into PRISM, RootsID and Aedou.
Aedou itself is a revolutionary high-impact Dapp with the potential to onboard millions of gamers, students, teachers and researchers into the Cardano & PRISM ecosystem that have no experience with or even have heavy biases against blockchain and SSI-tech. We strive to give these people a taste of wholesome blockchain practices and invite them to this space.
We need a working open source identity wallet to really get working. We will use RootsID for it once it is ready and will support the team through testing their solution.
One other risk is the scarceness of PRISM and Plutus developers. The development of this DID-prototype is a beginner-friendly task and a good start into the SSI-ecosystem without too much pressure from high expectations.
[FEASIBILITY]
Month 1: Design the full SSI-circle, get up to speed with the most up-to-date version of PRISM and connect with the Atala team to refine our plan.
Month 2: Implement a DID-prototype with all necessary components - issue/verify reputation & education credentials for Aedou and their DAOs.
At the end of this proposal, we will have a working prototype to test and refine Aedou's DID-concept.
The budget is only used to hire two PRISM-developers. At least one of them also needs Plutus expertise (finishing pioneer programs is sufficient).

Mike Dietrich has kicked-off the Educhainment collective and the development process behind Aedou, managing and driving it forwards. He is a first-cohort Plutus pioneer and ongoing PRISM pioneer (first-cohort), but runs out of capacities and thus needs help on the DID-side of things.
The budget is exclusively used to hire two experienced devs, that both have already or will complete the PRISM pioneer program. At least one of them also needs to finish the Plutus pioneer program. We will start looking for these people once we are funded directly in the PRISM-canvas and atala-astros slack.

The DID-prototype for Aedou is done once we can issue & verify the necessary credentials in our SSI-cycle. It might also include the ability to hold a credential in RootsID wallet and be used to start our own emerging trust registry within the Aedou-ecosystem and its DAOs.
This proposal is a continuation of the funded concept phase for Aedou. It was named "Play-to-learn-and-earn DID-platform" in Fund 6 and we got successfully funded.

SDG Rating
As this proposal is only for the DID-prototype, we do not see any direct progress towards the SDGs. Please refer to our main proposal "Aedou - Realm of Languages", which is heavily aligned with the SDGs and actively strives towards a more equitable and sustainable world & society.
