[IMPACT]

With the former experience of coordinating Cardano Summit 2021 Buenos Aires event for 120 people with success, we know that similar event like Hackathon could attract many develpers, coders, computer engineers, enthusiasts who want to participate, therefore we would love to organize a two-day Hackaton, gathering local developers of all skill levels (novice, intermediate and advanced) to partner up and compete in development contests, supervised by a suitable jury, in order to encourage collaborative work among them and exchanging ideas.
We will anounce Hackathon event through social media, with the propose of gathering local developers to participate in development contests, allowing them to develop collaborative work and creating new ideas while having fun.
It will be a Two-day events on a weekend of 8 hours per day from 9 am to 17 pm
We will use the Prize to attract developers, coders, computer engineers, enthusiasts to participate and cooperate among them to create or develp some interesting ideas together.

The main goals are:

Strengthen Cardano Community that the hackathon is for.
Welcoming to newcomers to join Cardano Community in Argentina.
Provide an opportunity for participants to learn something new and work together in groups.
Provide a space and a time for participants to make headway on problems they are interested in.
Teams fail to solve the challenges on time
Not gathering enough professionals to form 5 teams
New Covid restrictions for in person events, in this case we will mitigate to online Hackathons event increasing the Prize of the winners.

[FEASIBILITY]

Detail Plan

The propose of Hackathon event is to gather programmers, coders, and software designers to work together based on Plutus, allowing them with similar interests and complementary skills to work together, giving them room to try out new ideas that could accomplish in group and open the floor up even more to new perspectives. Participants will benefit from the mix of skills and new ideas that a diverse group brings to the table. Hackathons are a great alternative to a team retreat or convention because they get everyone engaged in the process.

Cardano Hackathon based on Plutus in Argentina will be a two-days event on a weekend from 9 am to 17 pm which will take place in a comfortable and easy access place**.**

The main goals are:

Strengthen the community that the hackathon is for.
Welcoming to newcomers to join the community.
Provide an opportunity for participants to learn something new and work together in groups.
Provide a space and a time for participants to make headway on problems they are interested in.

Timeline

Day 1:

8:30 Checkin of all the participants and attendees

9:00 - 9:30 Divided into 5 or more teams

9:30- 9:45 Make a brief introduction and announce the challenge and contest content and requirements and prizes.

18:00 end of the first day event and to be continue the next day

Buffet catering service is available all day

Day 2

9:00- 15:00 Each team continued with the project of day before

15:00- 16:00 Every team will share their project or idea

16:30-17:00 Anounce Three winners´s team and give away the prizes.

Our progress this month includes

Negotiated and signed an agreement with Universidad Tecnologica Nacional (UTN), one of the most prestigious universities in Argentina, to co-organize CARDANO HACKATHON to promote HASKELL and PLUTUS in the future.
We have written to LARS BRUNJES and invited him to be the judge of our event, He said he would be happy to come, but just needs to make some arrangements. There is no final confirmation, but there is a good chance he will be coming to referee the event. Currently he has arranged for ROBERTINO, an Argentinean from IOG, also from the Education Team, who is also a graduate of UTN, to help us design the challenge of the event.
We have already announced the time and content of the event in various media such as TWITTER, LINKEDIN, TELEGRAM, WHATSAPP and other channels related to CARDANO and LATAM area, and also opened the registration in MEETUP. We also invite SPOs in LATAM area to participate in the event. We also designed the application form and application requirements. Communicate with GENIUS YIELD about the assistance that can be provided for the event.
Communicate with the media COINTELEGRAPH and let them promote our event in the Hispanic countries.
Contact different influential members of CARDANO in the LATAM region and invite them to give speeches and set up seminars.
Start designing the content of the T-shirts , banners and posters. As our event will be held on September 3 and 4, we expect that people will come from all regions and countries, and many people have already informed us that they will come from Europe, USA, and other countries in South America. We are expecting a large number of people. Therefore, we need to have enough funds to cover the cost of ordering clothes, . banners, flyers, food, jury and mentor´s salary, venue costs and personnel costs. In addition, there is a USD 10,000 prize fund for participants that will be paid out when the winners are announced. Therefore, we hope that Catalyst will give us all the funds as soon as possible. This is to ensure that our event will run smoothly and that there will be no shortage of money. We will really appreciate your understanding and assistance.

The hackathon will be amazing since we were able to bring Lars Brünjes to the event, it will be of so much help if you could free the remaining funds for the project, since the event will be more than double as expected initially with the Lars presence and we will need to pay for it before the end of the event.
