[IMPACT]

To grow the number of high-quality projects submitted in Catalyst and increase the number of committed advisors, mentors, and voters, the qualified people need to know about Catalyst opportunities and how to get into them. This proposal aims to disseminate the Catalyst in scientific meetings and events in Brazil. This way, the academic community will have the opportunity to learn how to submit proposals at Catalyst and how to become an active member of this ecosystem. They will also be introduced to the importance of blockchain and Cardano.

The Catalyst ecosystem will be presented in scientific meetings and events by Physics professors. The meeting’s audience comprises undergrad students, masters, doctors, and professors in Engineering and Natural Sciences. So, the number of qualified people participating in the Catalyst system will increase in the different levels of collaboration as voters, advisors, and proposers.

The risk is minimal. The Professors will attend scientific meetings and conferences, and they will give a talk about Catalyst and discuss the importance of academics getting into blockchain technology.

[FEASIBILITY]

The presenter will schedule scientific meetings in Universities and Research Centers to present the Catalyst and the importance of Blockchain and Cardano. Besides the meetings, the Professor will search for Scientific Conferences in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) where it is possible to talk about Catalyst’s opportunities for an audience of undergrads, masters, doctors, researchers, and professors. Follow some examples of events and conferences with a great number of attendees:

Campus Party Brazil

Congress of Engineering Education (COBENGE)

Workshops at Universities and Research centers

Scientific meetings in Universities

  • Conferences and Events Registration fees (1000 USD)
  • Travel and accommodation costs for in-person attending (1500 USD)
  • Work-hours payment for the Professor presenter, which includes (6000 USD):

(i)Being in touch with the academic community for scheduling meetings to present Catalyst.

(ii)Preparation of presentation documents.

(iii)Attending remote meetings.

(iv)Attending in-person meetings.

(v)Post-presentation attendance to advise people interested in getting into the Catalyst.

(vi)Engage people into the Catalyst.
