Successive scaling: start with Hall 14, then Hall 13, then other halls (more on scaling below)
<u>Positioning:</u>
- Expo-Festival DACH (plus BeNeLux); wild, colorful & loud; celebrating games and life;
- No separation between AAA, Indie, Onliner, F2P, Mobile, etc.
- Curated placement for maximum discovery experience;
- February for maximum distance to Gamescom: 6 months after the last and 6 months until the next Gamescom
<u>Visitor forecast/scaling:</u>
- Planning as of now with 15,000 with current hygiene requirements; scaling upwards in several stages if requirements are dropped by February (which is to be assumed) to up to 45,000 visitors through successive occupancy of more halls.
<u>Online dimension:</u>
- There will be a produced stream from the festival, where we will broadcast the stage program
- Interviews with exhibitors, trailers and, coverage live from the festival
- Twitch has signaled to be open for a front-page placement
<u>Marketing / Media:</u>
- Performance marketing by a renowned agency
- Two Pi Team for community building and management
- Media partnership with Computec (pcgames.de and buffed.de)
<u>Program:</u>
- Exhibition of AAA publishers,
- 140+ indies (largest indie showcase in Germany),
- retro gaming; focus on playing, trying out, and discovering new things as well as the chance for publishers to meet with their communities
- stage program that all exhibitors can fill with the content slot by slot (the idea behind this): The industry shares a common stage - similar to what Keighley does)
- cosplayers and merchandisers to round things off.
Award ceremony in cooperation with Stiftung Digitale Spielkultur: jury decision for indie titles; best-of-show for everything shown (regardless of whether indie or AAA) as the audience award
Pricing to establish extra competitiveness:
- pure stand space for exhibitors who want their own stand construction: 129,- Euro net per sqm plus ancillary stand costs
- pre-configured booths (3m wide x 2m deep): from 1.999,- Euro net plus optional upgrades (e.g. sales permit)
- Indies from 99,- Euro net (small package, 139,- Euro net large package)
Admission from 18, but no restrictions on stand construction or trailer material to be shown at the stands.
