Dear community, My name is Mauro Andreoli, I have worked in the Cardano ecosystem for almost two years. I have recently finished my university studies in Law and passed the bar exam, an achievement that we all celebrate together, with much affection from the Cardano community.

There is no doubt in my mind that recent world events reflect an urgent need for development in the legal field that addresses the Cardano and blockchain phenomenon in a multidisciplinary manner. While organizing and participating in the various global workshops on CIP 1694, I have also realized that this topic is critical to defining governance within the network, and to the parameters of a future constitution.

Cardano has always stood out for its doctrinaire, scientific, and academic character, so today, with the endorsement of the community, I have decided to submit this proposal to write academic or research papers about Cardano in my LL.M. studies. My thesis, monographs, papers, articles, and any other task or writing that may be related to the blockchain, I will talk about Cardano, allowing to settle in renowned academic institutions’ research works about Cardano and its technology.

After several discussions and talks with the community, it has been its members who have encouraged me to upload this proposal, showing great interest in it.

This proposal can be a historical milestone in the community, awarding scholarships to students and active members of the community to further their studies in technological areas of interest will turn Cardano into a nucleus of young talents capable of solving the challenges of the present and the future.

In this opportunity, if I get the scholarship I will be able to continue contributing and adding value to my work in the community, applying new technical knowledge learned in these last studies and writing technical-legal or research articles that attract new people to the ecosystem or community to educate themselves and learn new concepts and explanations.

[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

As I said, this proposal has several benefits. One of them is that it will allow me, as an active member, to continue training to help the community. Acquiring new knowledge to apply in the world and in the new challenges that await us in the ecosystem.

In turn, it will present the writing of research papers on the Cardano network and blockchain in the legal technical aspects, bringing new discussions with highly qualified professors. All written papers will be public for free use by the community, with personal, professional, or academic interests. The origin of the gimbal is the product of great mathematicians, philosophers, and physicists, it is time to experiment at the academic level in this new area.

At the same time, if this proposal is approved, it will open a new entry point for users, scientists, or researchers, who will try to fund their research or new studies and discuss in their writings about Cardano.

This proposal was presented in the challenge F10: Startups & Onboarding for Students. I believe this proposal will be a historic milestone that, if funded, will attract students, institutions, and professors to seek funding to research and write papers about the Cardano blockchain. These papers will be our sword and shield to face the challenges of tomorrow. It is better to be prepared.

[IMPACT] How do you intend to measure the success of your project?

The benefits of the project can be measured as follows:

• By the number of monographs, papers, articles, research works, or theses published about Cardano in the field of information law.

• By the number of monographs, papers, research works, or theses presented on the economic-financial regulation of Cardano in the Global and Latin American market.

• The number of people and institutions that are inspired by this proposal to seek funds to carry out official research in the future and to register in the archives of these institutions and make public the results of their research.

Transparency has been a core value that has guided me throughout my career and in my community work. All news will be posted on my social networks. In turn, all members of the community know that I am always available for conversation and discussion, and within the framework of this proposal, they will be able to organize a meeting with me to discuss or chat about the results of each report or new work published, clarify doubts or make their contributions.

In this way, the community will be able to get more out of the initiative, either as individuals or as companies. Each time a paper is published, a calendly link will be attached to organize a meeting for those who wish to do so.

[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?

Reputation is a value that takes years to build and can be lost in a second. I would not risk years of work if I did not believe that this proposal was viable, or if I was at least convinced that it was worth a try.

For those who don’t know me, thanks to my effort and work I have traveled all over the world to different events representing Cardano, I have helped as many people and projects as I could to get on Cardano and develop in the ecosystem.

This is a student academic project, so we can say that the qualitative goals are the following:

Qualify me in the area of Computer Law, implementing and carrying out studies on the blockchain, focused on Cardano. This achievement will be able to be accredited with the certificate issued by the university for the subjects taken.

Be trained in the field of financial economic law, researching possible effective and practical regulatory methods for the use of Cardano in the world. This achievement can be certified with the certificate issued by the university of the subjects taken.

Publish research papers that discuss Blockchain and Cardano legal-financial framework, applying the knowledge acquired in both masters’ degrees.

To encourage more students and educational institutions to submit these proposals to obtain study grants or to carry out research work.

The achievement of each milestone will be certified with the delivery of the corresponding documentation. The documentation that has to do with educational institutions is official documentation, and therefore, any forgery is a forgery of official documents that can be punishable in several countries even with prison.

Also, the third and fourth milestones will be certified with the publications to the community, as plagiarism is also a serious crime, the community will be able to corroborate the originality of each publication.

The goal is to start creating documents that appear in the database of prestigious universities. Attract professors and academics to our community and encourage students to apply for such investigation or studies proposals.

Eventually, our community will have great support from educational institutions, and we will have significant figures in our ranks to meet the challenges.

In addition, community members can draw on these documents for personal use, collective use, or for their projects.

  [RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

The educational costs of postgraduate degrees, masters, doctorates, or specializations are high all over the world.

I see the project as a long-term investment, so that the blockchain will be nurtured by the academic work of the community members, and that in the future Cardano will be a nest of talented intellectuals who will make it the most prominent and admired network in the world.

It is also a way to encourage talents (who often work overtime or even for free) to continue to build on the Cardano ecosystem.
