Solution

A plug-and-play ISPO dashboard that queries data from the blockchain on a particular stake pool(s) to run against reward ratios to determine a delegate's earned ISPO rewards.

Problem:

ISPOs are a popular and unique way of raising funds on Cardano but require technical setup and knowledge to query user staking data and calculate against it for rewards & distribution.

This proposal was approved and funded by the Cardano Community via Project F9: Dapps, Products & Integrations Catalyst funding round.

[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

Any project that is looking to distribute its tokens and/or raise funds by operating a stake pool will be able to do so using our plugin.

If requires very little technical knowledge to be able to set up a WordPress website, install the required plugins and configure it to be able to get started.

Once a website administrator has installed the plugin, they simply need to set the parameters in regards to the number of rewards that will be distributed per ADA delegated and the start and end dates of the ISPO.

The plugin will calculate the delegate's rewards based on their staking history per epoch and display it accordingly on the website.

From a delegate's point of view, we have created an integrated wallet DApp connector that allows a user to delegate directly from the website.

A delegate can also quickly connect their wallet or paste in their stake key to check their rewards directly on the website.

Project owner benefits from being able to provide a good user experience for their delegates of their project and delegates benefit from the ease of use and a streamlined user experience in terms of staking and ISPO rewards.

[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

The solution will become a turn-key solution for projects that want to run an ISPO or a token distribution platform based on stake pool delegate.

This ties deeply into the Cardano ecosystem, makes it easy for project owners to start their projects and helps with adoption bringing new users to the ecosystem.

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

The plugin relies heavily on the Blockfrost API to communicate with the Cardano blockchain.

Each project will require API keys to be able to use the platform.

Since Blockfrost is a private company providing the service, they can limit, restrict and increase prices for usage of their platform and service.

To help mitigate

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

Phase 1: Gather feedback from the community on BETA

Phase 2: Organise and prioritize tasks for the final stable version

Phase 3: Development

Phase 4: Testing and feedback against use cases and tasks

Phase 5: Stable version for deployment

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed budget breakdown.

The team's hourly rate is $150 an hour.

User testing: 16 hours $2400

Development: 24 hours $3600

UI/UX design: 16 hours $2400

Administration: 8 hours $1200

Total budget breakdown: $9600

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide details of the people who will work on the project.

Peter Bui - Project owner and creator

Gene Torcende - WordPress & API Developer

Martina Kocian - UI/UX Designer

Karlo Ilanos - WordPress Developer & Frontend Developer

We have worked as a core team at PB Web Development for over 6 years.

[FEASIBILITY] If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

If we are funded, we will return for additional funding in the future.

As of now, the project isn't fully monetised, and we have no way of sustaining the development of the core product.

As Cardano evolves and more projects and ideas come to market, we will need to continuously develop and grow core CardanoPress to cater to market needs.

We will come back with new proposals as market conditions warrant.

[AUDITABILITY] Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

The final goal of having the stable version, v1.0.0, will be the final goal for the proposal.

Progressive milestones can be measured as we progress through the stages to reach the final stable version of the plugin.

[AUDITABILITY] What does success for this project look like?

The project's success will see projects install the plugin on their WordPress-based websites and run Initial Stake Pool Offerings via the websites.

Since users must have a Cardano native wallet, we should see more new users create wallets and delegate to ISPO related pools, moving from exchanges to stake and earn these new tokens from projects that run ISPOs.

[AUDITABILITY] Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

This is an entirely new project and proposal not relating to any in a previous Fund.

Monthly Reports

We have been working with the WordPress plugin directory team to get the plugin approved and listed on the plugin directory. This is one major step to make the plugin easier to install and integrate to WorPress sites.

This is the latest release of the plugin where we worked through the changes required by the WordPress team for listing.
