Solution

A decentralised social network of the people, by the people, for the people. A platform where users have a choice on how to use their data.

Problem:

People's data is worth much more than we can imagine. We give our data for free to centralised social networks. This data is often misused.

[IMPACT]

The proposed solution is a peer to peer Dapp that works like modern day social networks such as Instagram or Twitter.

Your profile will be like an open wallet where you can showcase all your belongings as NFTs. Your username will be an NFT, your bio will be an NFT, you avatar will be an NFT.

Users can post their content, pictures, videos and in return users will be incentivized with LIKE tokens. By liking your post, people will send you LIKE tokens, which can be exchanged for ADA on any exchange.

The incentive mechanism will make people post more content and quality content.

The social network will also have a community formation feature where anyone can start their own DAO.

There will be a marketplace feature in the Dapp just like instagram shop. Every product on this marketplace will be minted as an NFT and sales will be done in ADA or Native token.

Personal chats will be highly encrypted so your personal chat will be safer than it has ever been.

The goal is to start a Dapp that will replace the current day centralised apps like Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter.

This will free our ever connected world from the hands of the few that control all data in the world.

Like we can see now, Instagram got banned in Russia due to political issues. Our social network cannot be shut down anywhere in the world because it will be completely decentralised.

It will be immune to censorship, downtime, data collection, and much more.

The main challenge will be to make people understand the difference between centralised social networks and decentralised social networks.

Why will an average user choose us over Youtube? We, the crypto community understand the need and benefits of decentralization but an average user does not. The success of our project will depend on how many people we can reach and make them understand the need of decentralization.

[FEASIBILITY]

August 2022 - Start creating awareness and education for people

September 2022 - Launch of Android app

October 2022 - Launch of IOS app

November 2022 - Launch of Marketplace

December 2022 - Community Formation

Salaries for the tech team of 6 people for 4 month

2 Full stack Devs = 2 x 2500 x 4 = 20000

Blockchain Dev = 3000 x 4 = 12000

IOS Dev = 2500 x 4 = 10000

Android Dev = 2000 x 4 = 8000

Graphic Designer = 1500 x 4 = 6000

= $ 56000

Setup Cost for decentralised hosting, maintenance and subscriptions

= $ 4000

Education, Promotion and Marketing for 6 months = 6 x 3000

= $ 18000

I, myself will be handling all the marketing, PR, promotion and entrepreneurial aspects of the project

I have a tech team that has delivered various blockchain projects over the past year. They will be developing the technology. The team consists of 2 Full Stack Web Developers, 1 Blockchain Developer, 1 Android Developer, 1 IOS Developer and 1 Graphics Designer.

[AUDITABILITY]

  • Total number of Users
  • Number of monthly active users
  • Number of new signups
  • Volume of likes transactions
  • Monthly Marketplace sales
  • Total Transactional Volume

An average person spends at least 3 hours on social networks everyday. The success of this project will be when an average person opens his phone, the first app that he opens will not be Instagram or Twitter, it will be our Dapp. The future is decentralised and we want to be the ones to connect people and form communities in a decentralised way .

It is an entirely new project.
