[IMPACT]

We will create a platform that connects employers and talented freelancers from all over the world, regardless of country or race, you can imagine likely to upwork.com platform. To make it easier to visualize, I have drawn the model below.

The website frontend will be served via decentralized file storage using IPFS (for more information about IPFS, click here)

We use languages Marlowe, Plutus to build backend logic functions (Create, Edit, Search, Invoice, Apply…) of the website to create smart-contracts, all backend logics function are running entirely on Cardano blockchain. Thanks to those great technologies, the platform can run with 0% service fees sustainably. And will never take a cut from transactions between freelancers and employers.

The website will connect to the Freelancer wallet and the employer's wallet through the Yoroi Wallet Extension to create profile information and add personal skills. Through profile and search commands, the system will find related jobs posted from employers and connect them through chatbox/email.

After the two sides shake hands with each other. Freelancer will send an invoice to the employer and wait to receive the ADA from the employer and send it to his wallet and the two parties will send feedback to each other.

Before talking about the solution, let's talk about the problem first, in the explosive information technology era from the beginning of the 21st century until now. Jobs in the information technology industry are never out of hot, job search websites sprang up a lot to try to exploit the full potential of people in all fields, all levels. Most of the traditional job search sites today are based on the following mechanism: Hirer - Broker - Employee. The broker in the middle receives a commission (possibly from both sides). That generally increases operating costs and discourages stakeholders.

To solve this problem, we will create a platform to connect employers and talent with 0% service fees sustainably. Built entirely on Cardano blockchain and using only cryptocurrency for payments.

Besides that, this proposed solution is a potential solution using the power of smart contracts of Cardano, bringing Cardano blockchain closer and more valuable to everybody.

A project always comes with potential challenges and risks

  • There are many competitors in the market, many popular platforms have been built for a long time and have many user sets. So, we will focus on blockchain communities first

  • Occurrence of personal conflicts of interest (for example, not paying or intentionally sabotaging by sending false feedback to cause controversy)

  • Milestone 1: 3 months after proposal is funded (release demo)
  • Building test net, development environment
  • Building infrastructure, CI/CD.
  • Build website, issue, status tracker

  • Milestone 2: 5 months after proposal is funded (closed beta)
  • Run beta production
  • Run marketing on (Facebook, Google, TikTok, …) to advertise the platform, entice users, get more adoption.
  • Get feedback from the community (users, recruiters, developers, …)

  • Build mechanisms for monitoring, alerts, etc., and resolve

  • Continue to run marketing campaigns on (Facebook, Google, TikTok, …) to advertise the platform, entice users, get more and more adoption.
  • Issue warnings and advice from the system to employers or freelancers who behave badly, against community standards.
  • Upgrade the rating mechanism (like other brokerage platforms (Uber, Grab, Airbnb, …), whoever has a high rating will be prioritized by the system to display and win more attention).
  • Milestone 4: 8 month after proposal is funded(Release)
  • Official release widely spread the platform adoption on social networks

Cost all during 8-month the project, but actually, all of the engineers will work with hour-rate per day, so the cost had been deducted one-third (deduct 2,6months) (compare in monthly)

  • 1 Sr. Frontend engineer: 2k x 5,4months x 1 = 10,8k USD

  • 1 Product manager & Project manager: 2k USD during projects

  • 2 Marketing specialists: 3k USD during projects

  • Personnel re-employment costs, personnel risk prevention: 2k USD

  • Marketing/Research campaign: 6k USD

  • Blockchain Dev Engineer salary: 6K USD
