Detailed Plan

The idea is separated into a three parts:

1. Gather a following by producing good crypto content and working with crypto projects in the space. Part of the first part is that I like to invest games which show people different crypto concepts. For instance, a card and dice game that explains IPFS or a drinking game that explains how centralized vs decentralized stores of value work or a drinking game that explains Bitcoin Mining. (an excellent three month goal would be to make over 100 videos and have over a thousand followers)

2. Leverage that following to earn collabs with non crypto content creators. Specifically ones with 200,000 to 500,000 followers. I believe that people dive into their interests on the internet so we must bring crypto to them - not in the main stream media, but in our internet communities. Then theme crypto concepts around their channel. If it’s a guitar channel, then explain bitcoin mining by randomly picking a note to play on the guitar and have two guitarists dual it out to try to play the random note that keeps changing when they hit it. The goal of this outreach isn’t to teach blockchain, many people already know the concepts fairly well. It’s to translate it and show them how simple, easy to understand concepts can come together to create something powerful and liberating. (an excellent six month goal, at this phase, would be to partner with at least three youtube channels with followers between 100,000-300,000 and earn over 100,000 followers)

3. After the channel has grown and more people are starting to geniunely understand blockchain, I want to use the revenue generated from the channel to go towards setting up stake pools for underpriviledged communities. I want black communities to be able to generate enough money from their stake pools to hire their own police force. It may be small, but they’re not going to hire people who will kill their kids. I want community run initiatives like local radio to put their savings into stake pools and allow people to delegate instead of doing charity. After people are educated, we can start to set things up for people and raise up the 99% (an excellent twelve month goal would be to create at least one decentralized organization behind a charitable cause)

*note, the goals referenced above would be much longer but I am guessing that receiving Project Catalyst funding from IOHK is something that might help attract a lot of viewers to the channel

I ask the funds for my project simply be a donation to my stake pool that you’d hold there for a year. I’d then use the money my pool generates to fund the content creation on top of side hustles. Would also be looking to grow the team if at all possible. On my own I don’t need much, honestly. Maybe $50,000 a year and i can honestly get most of it on my own. What’s cool about the money being handled through a Stake Pool is that it’ll be very transparent. I will be using the money to purchase food, internet, and electricity while I make nonstop educational crypto content.

Success, for me, will be determined by follower count. While I think BitBoy cryptos success is probably well deserved, I think his channel has become quite the centralized party. Since it’s hard to put a metric on success educating the entire globe, I think a good goal would be to become the largest cryptocurrency channel on the internet.

Launch date already happened because I’ve already started making videos.
