Detailed Plan

Intro

In the Chaco, province of Argentina the digital certificates issued by educational institutions in the region are not properly backed up and even suffer the risk of definitive loss, since the infrastructure and network maintenance of these provider institutions is of a very low level.

Ecom Chaco, a telecommunications company in the region, which has state participation, is working to improve the operation of the existing validation systems. 15,000 certificates of educational courses validated by the ministry of education of our province, stored in the servers that the company owns, have already been delivered. It has a load balancing scheme with three servers, in which the stored information is tripled

Despite all the progress made, we believe that it is time to include a disruptive technology such as blockchain within this process. We want the system to provide the records with characteristics such as: immutability, greater auditability, transparency, the ability to be unforgeable, the benefit of being publicly accessible and the advantage of being able to have time stamping of them.

In addition, we want to highlight that we decided to choose the Cardano blockchain because we trust that it will be the best long-term option for the development and evolution of our project

Objective

Create a system that interacts with ATALA Prism in order to implement its solutions in our educational institutions for the validation of digital identity and educational documentation. Said implementation would be carried out on the system: Docentessie.chaco.gob.ar.

It would be the first test implementation to later implement ATALA Prism in other systems developed by our company.

Working together with Ecom, we can develop a system that allows all education digital certificate owners to take advantage of the Cardano blockchain and the ATALA Prism platform.

Goals

We project, based on the work done previously, that with the funds requested we will be able to carry out the storage of approximately 50,000 digital credentials in a period of time of 12 months. This would be a very important milestone, in the safeguarding of academic documentation in the region, which we believe will promote and increase the knowledge and interaction of the community with Cardano and Blockchain technology.

We plan that each one of the 50,000 educational certificates issued will contain a watermark with the legend "Powered by Cardano", and the details concerning its image (logo, slogan, etc). With this we will ensure that the community we wish to represent can know who made the existence of their credential possible.
