This proposal was approved and funded by the Cardano Community via Project F11: Cardano Open: Developers - technical Catalyst funding round.

[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution.

Our proposal focuses on developing a suite of metadata standards designed to establish a framework for various supply chain components. These standards ensure uniformity and interoperability in data exchange within the Cardano supply chain network.

The entire framework library of standards will be open sourced and converted into a CIP (Cardano Improvement Proposal) if applicable to encourage collaboration, transparency, interoperability, and community contribution.

By providing this open and standardized library our goal is to reduce the barrier to entry for supply chain applications seeking to leverage the Cardano blockchain ecosystem. This allows developers to build interoperable and extensible tooling in support of the supply chain ecosystem.

[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community.

The successful development of the Supply Chains Library will bring value to the Cardano community by promoting interoperability, encouraging the development of diverse applications, and attracting projects focused on sustainability. Impact will be measured through increased adoption of standards, applications utilizing these protocols, and the positive feedback and contributions from the community.
